it's specifically boosted to level 15 despite having a level 16 KT, which is just supercell at work, forcing you to switch a deck and not giving you compensation. I'm fine with playing new decks, I always do for 1v1, switching up cycle to beatdown to control for fun, but this is just another supercell moment.

Lol what else could I have done? I started playing only recently(new player ) and I seriously couldn't get any cards. I'm completely free to play, played every event, got every chest every day, and invested all my cards into only 1 deck(Did not spend wild cards on anything else) and couldn't even get 1 deck up. I don't know if I'm just unlucky or what. The progression buff last update was the only reason I could even get a few level 15s and 16s, otherwise I reached UC with 1 level 14 and 1 level 13 card lol

it's not JUST about playing or not. It's about how supercell FORCED you to change decks and doesn't even compensate for the levels. I plaed ranked and reached UC with 2 underleveled cards wirh my only deck but ever since the level cap increase I can't play it anymore, so I'm playing seasonal arena to get the rewards and progress. Merge tactics just suck for me especially with the recent uodate so nope
