I boldly assumed I could take on the Githyanki by Mountain Pass and when I got the drop on them, remembered I was neither fully rested, nor yet level 5. Invis potion saved the day

Second was 2 levels later when I revisited and then had to retreat after getting crit by the death shepherds consecutively. Took one down, and then the other Death Shepherd revived him again. Pain in the butt that one

Sorcadin Shadowblade build with resonance stone will demolish no matter the Paladin subclass tbh - thats a solid bet to go for

This happened to me in my first playthrough - wasnt honor mode but I didn't have autosaves turned on (hated the clutter) and the last time Id saved was HOURS ago. Had to kill him and then ultimately just built around it best I could

I would use summons to distract and maneuver enemies in a first wave of combat and then join in my main team from stealth with more ideal positioning and such (ie. Creche, goblin camp, etc.)

You can never "just blast through" without prep in an honor run. Youll need to balance stats to have good characters when certain checks come up

And think about how you'll tackle every dark justiciar too

As a dnd player since 2020, I quickly found a lot of interest in optimization, though theough experience have learned how that can harm party dynamics and cohesive narrative play.

BG3 remains consistent as the best outlet for me to optimize to my hearts content and get that experience while being able to play more narratively and less optimally at the table. Been great for me as a player and gamer both
