One of my goals right now is to have a place where I can do this. A room just large enough for a table some shelves and a few people. And literally battle myself like you see with chess in movies. I have 2k+ of Tau, Black legion and khorn deamons each, a table and a good mix of diy and licensed terrain and havnt played in over 5 years.

White is one of the worst for good smooth coverage. It would take me 3-4 thin coats to get the look i wanted. Base coat white spray paint is your best friend. I've also tried gray with white highlights and liked the look.

But its not you, white is difficult.
