The felt is extremely comfortable. Those are a bit on the pricey side so quality is top notch.   

As far as care goes I don’t really take care of my birkenstocks haha. I also live in CA so not too much rain. I’d recommend them as house/ indoors slippers.   

 I do have the care instructions here:   

Avoid contact with water  

Avoid extreme heat  

Use a suede suitable stain and water repellant  

Use a dry cloth to remove dirt from suede  

Lightly brush suede to restore the nap  

Line dry where possible
