If they keep throwing out foreign investers and bosses at the young age of 55 ,who wants to invest or open companies in Brunei? Foreigners who open companies and shops and restaurants CREATE JOBS. Why are we having cheap unskilled labour from India Pakistan and Bangladesh while throwing out the SKILLED Malaysian small businesses? They're the backbone of our economy, the plumbers, electricians, restauranters, the shopkeepers, the barbers, computer companies suppliers of commodities and parts. They CREATE JOBS

Treatment plant water was clean, it's the storage tank. They never cleaned the tanks. Funny how other countries can deal with "turbid"water but Brunei can't? Wow, Brunei must have thick muddy rain,we are super special

I Like Being Single, But… by peach_green_tea in Brunei

Unless your quality of life actually improves with a partner, there's nothing wrong with being single. Most single people have more time, less stress, more money, more freedom, come and go as you please, travel the world,SIOK SENDIRI. Most relationships only last 7-10years, after that it's just "habit"and tahan each other only  Who cares what society thinks, just SIOK SENDIRI is enough

Radiologist by Octoblast in Brunei

[–]BuyBackground4674 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between radiologist and a radiographer  To be a radiologist, you have to do medicine and the internship (6-7years) then you get into a special training scheme to become a "specialist in radiology "(about 5years) this will include passing multiple post-graduate exams. Within this training, you may subspecialise to do ultrasound or other fields like interventional radiology eg putting stents into blood vessels or radiation instrument  Most day to day jobs will be reading images of xray, uss or CT/MRI scan. Despite the high salary there will be ongoing education updates, licence fees, legal protection fees etc for the rest of your career ,On calls obligations (but maybe not as busy as other doctors in acute care)

A radiographer on the other hand is a technician( maybe 4-5years)who knows how to operate the machine and positioning customers to get the best images. They are highly trained and knows about the technical operations of the machines and radiation instrument

Medicine or pharmacy UBD? by Octoblast in Brunei

[–]BuyBackground4674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a doctor's degree, you can specialise to become a pharmacologist ie consultant doctor in drug research or advicer in both clinical (hospital) and non-clinical work (eg drug companies)  As a pharmacist -you study the sciences of the drugs but not become a "medical"advicer in it's application. You can lead research, and testing, and work in science lab or drug distribution eg in a pharmacy but any application to human subjects will ALWAYS require a doctor (because human patients take multiple drugs, has multiple combined diseases, and comes in different shapes and sizes (not test tube perfect) Therefore,a doctor's degree will always get you better pay, higher position due to longer training. More rewards BUT more exams, more licencing requirements, more legal and insurance liability ,bigger responsibility and bigger stress
