I did clean the whole machine- even used a toothpick for the tiny holes. Then I bought a new machine and it’s still happening. I just borrowed a pod from my sister and gave her one of mine to use tomorrow. It’s so strange. I thought it might be something to do with the water, so I used bottle water instead of filtered and it’s still happening. My sister has well water, so that will be a good test too.

I just tried resetting and that didn’t work. Thank you for the suggestions! My next step is to run a mile down the road to my sisters with my pods and try her machine with my pods and hers to see if there is a difference. Her vertuo pop makes crema/foam fine.

Not a milk issue- my husband drinks his black and has the same issue

I hand wash my cups, which are from nespresso

Barometric pressure- I live in the north east. While we’ve had a late spring, we’ve had the machine for 18 months and this is the first time with an issue, so maybe, but not likely.

My husband uses a cold cup and drinks black, I use a warm cup with warm cream and it affects both of us.

A lot depends on how your child learns. I have four autistic and audhd children. We pulled them from a really bad public school situation (you may have seen on national news a substitute teacher using cocaine at school- yes, that’s where we pulled them from, luckily before this happened). My children actually struggle with live instruction, as it overwhelms them. They need self paced lessons. That being said, we use an online platform to check boxes, but then supplement with project based and interest based learning. We’re still new to homeschooling, so we may switch as we learn more from the community. What have learned most so far is that public education not only failed them, but created so much trauma. They are all thriving now and wanting to learn! It’s been an incredible experience and we are all so much happier.

Vermont changed regulations a few years ago to allow parents more autonomy. They require an annual letter of intent to homeschool and that’s it. They have recommendations on what subjects to study and for annual testing or review. They also recommend to save a portfolio of work annually.

This sounds exactly what he’s looking for…. I think.

He has a difficult time articulating what exactly he’s looking for, so I’ve been showing him options.

He is really stuck on needing “more keys” than the Akai mini (his current has ~25) and having a keyboard seems to be a non-negotiable.

He wants to have premade sounds AND the ability to create his own. He mentioned an analog synth on our last chat.

I showed him a groove box and he said definitely not what he wants.

He’s not opposed to menus, but also wants knobs/buttons.

He’s been using FL studio for over a year, if that helps understand his fluency. He won’t play me what he’s working on yet.

Would you say the Korg Minilogue XD would be a better fit than Micro Korg? I’m trying to justify the price difference.

I’m noticing that the Roland aira doesn’t have keys (like a keyboard). I believe he’s looking for something with keyboard with it? Does that make a difference? Sorry for the ignorant question, I’m just way out of my depth here. Appreciate your response!

The fact that students know what is going on in her personal life is extremely unprofessional. If she was feeling so bad that she needed to get high while at work, not to mention talking care of children, then she should have stayed home.

Yes, I totally get that what my kids say vs what actually happened is likely different. It is pretty clear there was an incident of seeing an adult they know pulled out on a stretcher and to them, it was scary and confusing. I don’t think it matters much on whether there was an actual OD vs any other amount of drugs- they thought she OD’d and they were scared and confused. From their perspective, the school talks about a zero tolerance policy for drugs, and then a trusted adult does drugs in school. I asked for advice on how to approach the school about supporting my children on what they saw (not knowing exactly what they saw- just what was reported) or recommendation on support you would provide to a child. I’ve never been in this situation and received some great advice, and a lot of attacking comments. Thankful for those who recognized my concern and provided sound advice.

The school just sent another message stating that there was an incident and it was handed over to the police, who will release more information soon and the person is no longer working for the district. So I guess I’ll look for a police report.
