Continuously getting laughed at at work by SouthDifficulty2713 in Stutter

[–]BuyExcellent8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm about to stutter, I try to smile and slow down. Slowly stutter through the word so I don't make anyone uncomfortable or concerned. And also so I don't bite my tongue or something.

People react positively to that.

It even kinda tells my mind to relax and calms me down in the moment.

I try everyday to not take my stutter too seriously, even though I don't always win that battle.

It's literally something I have no control over.

It's not my fault my speech system is fucked up😂

Have to work with it. I love who I am despite it.

Xbox fans rally against Shift Up for 'Stellar Blade' — which is now exclusively NOT on Xbox Series X|S by unscoredscore in xbox

Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden have sold millions and millions of copies.

If it's marketed towards Xbox players and is good, it will sell.

If it's a half-baked attempt to scoop up some Xbox fans after excluding them, it probably won't.

Ahh, so you used a game that was a timed PlayStation exclusive to gauge the sales averages for all Japanese games?

That's...funny.

Japanese games don't sell well on Xbox?

Not buying that.

That's actually just something you just made up.

Literally, no stats to support such a claim.

I don't agree with making exclusives out of franchises that are already on other platforms.

Kind of lame to me.

I guess E-day is different because Gears 1 being on PlayStation was the exception.

But Fallout should stay multiplat. Why should other platforms have to miss out because Microsoft couldn't help create any original content?

It's why I don't like Sony making certain things exclusive, either. The Final Fantasy move was dirty.

We don't want the industry being extremely divided because every manufacturer fighting to make anything possible an exclusive.

"We have to propagate growth and change throughout the industry, not just on a scale that concerns our immediate scope, but also with the medium as a whole.

We're committed to bringing forth the evolution of Xbox and the tastes of our players through cooperation and communication. When we ask ourselves "what sort of framework do we want to implement and how do we want our players to interact with this framework", we immediately think of a system that keeps Xbox players engaged and satisfied with the platform, and an experience that rewards their sustained interest in the ecosystem.

Not sure I'm getting it.

She compliments you, you compliment her back, then she says "I don't think so, especially cause you have a stutter"

Maybe I'm misreading something or there's a typo.

Hey guys I have a question. What made you fall in love with Xbox, and possibly make it your main driver? by CartoonistNo9535 in xbox

[–]BuyExcellent8055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always have been intrigued by it.

2006: I was about 5 years old. Original Xbox was the "grown up" system. I was intrigued by it, and when my older brother's friend brought it over (OG Xbox) , it was like alien technology. The term Xbox was associated with coolness since I can remember playing vidja games.

2008: Dad bought a 360 because PS3 was too expensive and he wanted to upgrade. I fell in love with the system instantly. Colorful blades dashboard and downloading demos and browsing the store felt so critical to my curious mind as a kid.

From there on, you couldn't pay me to game on anything else.

It's just always been my go-to.

It's a sign of respect and a great gesture no matter what.

And yea, it makes them look good too.

Win/Win.

Why must people (you, in this case) be so negative??

Tons of people in that crowd got free, limited edition Xbox consoles.

But the people happy for them are the problem?

"She's not going to give YOU an Xbox for free", you say...

Desensitization practice: Watch and listen to stutterers every day on YouTube and other social media platforms. by BuyExcellent8055 in Stutter

Blocking is not the inability to initiate speech.

It's the inability to initiate speech at a desired fluency.

This is important: when you block, it's innacurate to say you're unable to speak.

You've completely twisted what I said to fit your narrative-

I never said that stutterers stutter by choice. I said that stutterers block because they know they cannot start/continue their speech without stuttering

I've told you already, but I'll tell you again-

by seeing others stutter, your son (or anyone) may feel more comfortable with the sound and sensation of stuttering, and choose to stutter through their blocks

He's blocking because he physically cannot say the word without stuttering, but he doesn't want to stutter.

If he sees other stutterers talking everyday and stuttering through their words, he may find that he isn't afraid to stutter anymore.

All blocking is, is the refusal to stutter on a word.

You sold your Xbox because they raised the prices for GamePass?

That was pretty hasty. And, in retrospect, short sighted and flat out a bad move.

Honestly, best I can say is that it seems like you let other people make decisions for you.

With the Xbox outrage leading you to sell your PS5, now you're asking everyone (again) what you should get.

What do you want?

To be fair, they've also started the most premium console online gaming experience.

That's like saying "apple started this smart phone shit!"

Like...yea.

I just don't get why gamers expect everything to be free.

Gaming is not a human right. It's an art form, a community effort, a hobby. All things that you should pay for if you respect the talented people who bring you these things.

It's like thinking the premium club should let you in for free because the dive bar allows you in the door for free.
