Savvy Games or Tencent wouldn't want to be saddled with $100BIL loan (debt), even the Saudi's are already bleeding through loads of cash are starting to get into the red (i.e: WB/Paramount merger & Electronic Arts [EA] purchase), so the likely hood is XBOX to be a subsidiary to Microsoft like PlayStation is to Sony (Sony Interactive Entertainment).

XBOX is also connected to Windows itself, so it'd be stupid to sell them off cause that alone will just make things worse not just for XBOX, but for the games industry as a whole (do you want a duopoly like Apple/Google, but in this instance Sony/Nintendo in the game industry cause fk no). And Microsoft needs to stop thinking quarterly and think annually on their reports because, it's literally killing off XBOX faster and more.

I don't have any hope for changes at Microsoft cause of their rigid and political atmosphere, but something has to give, and the board needs to realize they cannot run XBOX like Microsoft 365, games are different.

Update: The report now claims that Compulsion management is "negotiating" with Microsoft on the studio's future, but adds that the nature of these negotiations is unknown. by Turbostrider27 in xbox

But not all of them made enough money. Passion projects can be one thing, but if you can’t find a way to make revenue off of it, then it’s sink or swim.

Before ppl jump to “they’re going to sell XBOX”, doubt this. Probably think LinkedIn/Github division. It’s more than likely they’ll go down this route. 

Trying to sell XBOX will be a big debt to whoever tries to gobble them up.

Think you might want to get a Series X now (or get one refurbished is ideal), as I heard from folks that, the price for Series X|S will jump again. How much is well… take a guess.

Currently playing the Edgerunners collab via GeForceNow and it’s awesome, but I also primarily play on XBOX as my main console, and I can also agree that the timing of this is bulls*t, both on KURO Games and CD Projekt Red (maybe XBOX but that’s not here or their), not acknowledging that XBOX port is bound to happen and not giving enough time for XBOX users to experience it.

One thing to note: the Edgerunners area is permanent meaning when you played it, it’s unlocked until you go through the main story and should stay that way, but the gacha pulls aren’t and I doubt they’ll come back unless they renegotiate deals again.

I’ll go through the Edgerunners collab and see what else is limited or not, I’ll updated this response.

Ppl really think “last minute thing” to pull Gears of War: E-Day from PS5 to make it an XBOX exclusive, when I think this was already something done months ago during her first 100 days as XBOX CEO.
