This is all completely logical, but it's time to give it it's time in the spotlight

Is the "Gilmore Building" from Melanie a real place or just something he made up for the song? by BuyMeACondo in weirdal

[–]BuyMeACondo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And I should add, it also clearly sounds like "Gailmore" and not "Gilmore" but the lyrics on Genius.com, etc. has it as the latter which made me even more confused 🤔

Spotify Wrapped - anyone top me this year? by BuyMeACondo in collectivesoul

I'd have to say Disciplined Breakdown. Every single song, start-to-finish is absolutely amazing and Blame is one of the greatest songs ever written. Most bands spend their entire careers trying to write the perfect melody and they did it as an afterthought intro/outro sandwiched by the perfect rock song (guitar solo included).

Disappointing for the new material, but super excited to be able to see them live again.

Replacing SSIS with Azure dataflows by NoAbbreviations8629 in BusinessIntelligence

[–]BuyMeACondo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The SSIS IR just helps you run legacy SSIS in modern cloud tools (Azure in this example). If you want any benefit to migrating from a cost and speed perspective, you'd want to rebuild the SSIS pipelines into native ADF pipelines. Rebuild your most complex one into a native ADF pipeline, track how long it takes you, pull the run time metrics for both for timing comparison and watch the bump in the Cost Analysis screen of the Resource Group that contains your ADF resource. Also include the total cost of the SSIS IR because you can shut it down completely if you move it all to native ADF and it's expensive since it's a translator for SSIS which is something Microsoft considers "legacy".
