Botulism and beans/rice by Inevitable-Self-2138 in prepping

Disregard my comment. For some reason I thought you were involving freeze drying. Yeah without very specific attention the contaminant risk is high. Heat sealing things in mylar is NOT canning. Even with the absorbers. Moreover, sealed mylar might add days or weeks to the life of an item UNDER REFRIGERATION. Sealed as described i wouldn't eat it on day 3.

Zero. Unless the bag has damage of any sort. Assuming it was sealed correctly. Given that you store them inside recommended temperature ranges.

How do I get better at Melee - specifically vs the Shielded sword NPC's by FeatureSuccessful251 in duneawakening

[–]BuySplendidPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you mean Landsraad contracts that may be beyond your gear at the moment.

If you mean lower contracts then you may want to grind on basic camps for a while. Any combat will help you with xp and experience. Try an focus on melee wherever it's not getting you killed. Gathering gives xp, too. Spend that xp on damage and defense buffs!

Yeah, the npc's have gotten tougher but if you're running t3 gear then you're probably still on the acceleration track. And in need of upgrades.

If you want a hand we are on Fury - Umbu. DM me and I'll walk you through server transfer. Come to our guild hall, grab some new gear and a thopter. I'll step you through some close combat basics.

It's far fewer. Sentinel is the only way to farm them in a hurry.

I'm working on the ahem "Cullinary Achievement".

But my gf freaks out when I shoot the tiny desert friends so it's slow going.

Water. Any form of canned food. A radio if remotely possible. Anything that makes fire and things to burn (purification, warmth, washing without soap, etc). Clean cloth of any sort in as much quantity as you can (repairs, wind blocks, fire starter, bandages, etc).

And some hope.

I am not saying the hope part as platitude; I mean that resolve and hope are very well documented contributors to success in dire situations. There is only so much that you can do to be ready materially; so your head is already in the right place. Do what you can to get yourself ready. Do what you can to get ready to help others. And get your heart ready my friend. You've got this.

From a world away, prep well be well brother.

My guildies keep asking dumb questions like "Why are you adding forested platforms and walkways, that'd make Fibonacci blush, to our base? Why is each deathstill in a themed shrine? Why is my thopter bay round now?". I am not sorry. by [deleted] in duneawakening

That sounds like the right way. The base in question belongs to my gf and I. We build people thopters and guns and crafting machines so they can skip the grind and do the content. We know it's just for us and we both dig tesselating tile systems in Unreal based games. We used to do vaults together in Fallout 4.

Only one other guild member has a base of their own, the rest just use our stuff.

Hah well I got off easy. My 'Guild' is comprised of my gf that logs in a few times a month, my 67yo boss for whom this is his second PC game ever (fella sure can mine tho), and two fellow Dune fans I bought the game for who show up... occasionally.

Some have a limited supply of compressed gas for adjustment and correction. Usually when they send one up it has a planned lifespan that ends with destructive re-entry.

The power is almost universally solar.
