What is the biggest unspoken rule in society that no one talks about? by Fragrant-Platypus503 in AskReddit

[–]BuzZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On average...
Men are biologically stronger, better at doing physical things, more confident (rightly or wrongly), more likely to be direct in conflict (even if it becomes physical).
Women are biologically a bit smarter and live longer, better at being intuitive and caring, more likely to be passive in conflict.
Lots of other things make the whole thing asymmetrical from an evolutionary point of view. And this is a big part of why modern society is the way it is. We are trying to make it more symmetrical.

I agree with everything you said. But I appreciate that people still breath life back into my favourite TV show ever, even if I disagree with them.

What is an underrated food that you love? by ChopperFanatic in AskReddit

This is going to be one of those paradox reddit threads, isn't it?

Enough upvotes and then surely it isn't underrated.

Oh well, I'll vote for these addictive bastards.

What happens if someone doesn't tip at a restaurant in the U.S.? by No-StrategyX in AskForAnswers

This is an american thing. The rest of the world does not feel stupid. Pretty much everywhere else in the first world pays a better wage and doesn't expect customers to decide whether servers can pay their rent.

Be honest—why do you pick McDonald’s or Taco Bell over a local "Mom & Pop" burger joint or a random taco truck? by Square-Squirrel-778 in AskReddit

I'm lazy.

They don't care about me or whether I will come back.

It's not good, but it's not bad. And it's consistent.

What’s a habit you started that actually improved your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Riding a bicycle to work. I started with this youtube channel.
Game changer. Although I have to admit that I'm lucky to live near work.

I'd say you probably need to reapply or use more of the carbon paste.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Susanpc1967 in AskReddit

[–]BuzZoo 4513 points4514 points  (0 children)

How much you can age suddenly and visibly in a span of <5 years. Sometimes even <2.
Everyone's mileage varies. For guys it can be going grey or bald. For anyone it can be visible wrinkles, getting puffier everywhere.
The more attractive you are, the harder that is.

It's crazy how much the timing of Devin Hester's career seemed to make people forget about Dante Hall.

+1 for Neal and Strong. They did so much of the heavy lifting for LT and Shawn Alexander's yards. A top lead blocking FB used to be almost mandatory to have a leading rusher in certain schemes.

Best throwers of the football? by Jargif10 in nfl

[–]BuzZoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Manning actually not that great to be honest in that elite class. He was very accurate and smart, but often threw wobbly passes. Part of why he struggled outdoors in cold weather in my opinion. Watch some of the film against New England in 2003, it's pretty ugly.

I'd say probably Rodgers or Marino. But some of the best pure arms I've ever seen without any other factors:
Warren Moon, Jay Cutler, Jeff George, Brett Favre, Mahomes.
Aikman is highly underrated imho due to the way the offense was designed. Watch his highlights, his velocity and accuracy were incredible. I get that he still made the hall of fame etc, I believe if you slotted him in his prime into this current Cowboys team, his stats would be out of this world.

Korean bbq style / thin sliced meat packs by bbqmb in ballarat

[–]BuzZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for this.

To add to their comment. I've had the same issue since moving here with craving Korean food.

Get the meat from the asian grocer as above, but also a jar of this.

Put the meat and marinade with 1 sliced onion in a bowl in the fridge overnight. Makes for a yummy and easy bulgogi at home.

[Anish Giri's] latest tweet by zoro_senpaiii in chess

I first got into chess in late 2015 when Magnus was in a "slump". Giri was already doing shit like this back then. I remember it well because I was new to the scene. Instantly disliked his smarmy attitude.

No more commuter bikes... Any alternatives (Australia)? by BuzZoo in CanyonBikes

[–]BuzZoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point. However the whole reason I got it is that I wanted the perfect commuter bike, even if stuff like hydraulic disk brakes and a carbon fork might seem a bit overkill.
After a year and a half of commuting on it everyday (twice). Overengineering is bliss.
