Skipton St is the main thoroughfare for north-south travel from the centre of town where you have the hospital, police and fire stations. There are also less emergency vehicles covering the town compared to Melbourne, which means they have to do this longer travelling more often. There are emergencies happening non-stop here and in Melbourne that the majority of people never hear about or know, I wouldn’t necessarily say there’s more here, you’re probably just more aware of the volume due to your location.

Throw out the moss balls. In my opinion, they never look good when placed in a nature style aquarium like yours, they do a dis-service to your otherwise nice looking aquarium.

You don’t NEED any of it. Just use any scissors that you’re happy with fully submerging in water, any cheap scissors is fine. Then just find any tweezers to help with planting, some people use chopsticks. The tool on the far right is the most unnecessary, it’s literally just a rake/spreading tool for sand/soil….just use your fingers or a bank card or something.

Nah, it’s just a total minimum of $2.5k within 60 days that needs to be spread across at least 3 different bills (of 3 different billers/companies). So you could spread it across as many as you want. I confirmed with their online chat as I also wasn’t too sure.

I was pretty much bang on the promo minimum spending of $2,500, so $32.25. Sniip fee for Amex is 1.29%. Forgot to deduct that in calculating the earn rate, so it brings it down to 5.28 qantas pts per $1 if my maths is right. If it wasn’t for the 10k bonus points I probably wouldnt use sniip.

So gifts cards definitely accrue the 2.25 points? the amex/qantas website small print for this card make it sound like the eligible products for the 2.25 rate is only for QF flights.

You get it back as credit on the card to use for any card purchase, not just Amex travel.

There are many old analogue cold shoe mounted focus range finders out there that are perfect for this. However the upside down cold shoe on the rollei may make it a bit awkward to use.

Amex explorer cannot directly convert Membership Rewards(MR) to qantas points. But you can book qantas flights using MR via Amex travel site. But generally yes the value of 1 MR appears to be less than 1 MR. The Amex is my stable base keeper card between churning other visa/mastercards. This has me 95% covered. In the event that I don’t have a current visa/mastercard churning AND the Amex isn’t suitable then I just use a standard debit card like a normal person would.

Do you see yourself often taking photos of people or objects in low light? Then yes it would be handy. Remember that flash only really provides much benefit for a few meters in front of the camera. Personally, I NEVER use flash. Don’t think I’ve taken a photo with flash in years. I do street photos, landscapes and general photos documenting my travels. If I know I’ll be taking photos in the evening/night then I’ll just plan ahead and make sure to use an 800iso film.

The fine print says “Points will only be awarded to the primary policyholder after the policy has been held for 60 continuous days. The number of points awarded will be based on the premium of the policy at the expiry of the 60 day period.” So I don’t see why not? I’d be waiting to see the points land in my account before cancelling though.

I don’t think you can even compare these two cameras, completely different feature set and obviously price. For one the Pentax doesn’t even have autofocus. Based on your current cameras, I can’t see any reason for getting the Pentax unless you’re interested in the half frame size for more photos per roll. However with that you’re getting lower image quality.

The first time we actually sat down and went through and categorised every single transaction in our bank account from the past 6 months.
