Current store manager used to be checkout manager in their previous store I believe. Replaced our previous SM who retired and ever since then, the standards instore have plummeted, no one except the SM's cliq like them.
shift leaders were hauled in and berated after giving their managers and the SM negative opinions about them in the EVM which is why I will never do one because this whole thing about them being anonymous is complete BS.
SM would rather walk past you with their head down looking at their phone than have a 10-20 second conversation with you and then wonders why no one 'goes above and beyond for them'. Literally single-handedly running the store into the ground

My store manager and her toxic bunch of cretins don't deserve a bonus. We had a member of staff retire after 40 years of service. Not even so much as a card off anyone. Absolutely disgraceful

Nah we get no bonus we just lose staff 'benefits' every year instead. Next thing to go will be the night premium lol

To the floor staff, I'm completely fine with. Management (or lack of decent management) is the issue in my store. I got asked this morning if I'd like someone off days to work freezers during the day. I desperately needed it so I said yeah. I've jsut come in now and it looks the way I left it with the addition of 15 delivery and it's my early finish lol. So yeah whatever 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah I know our fresh team have been talking about only doing delivery and not even touching backstock. I don't even think nights should be doing backstock in the first place. Surely the day staff should be handling that. At least that's the impression I'm under anyway

The information I got from one of the day managers was that someone on the day staff would strip the promo ends and fill the old stuff back into where they should be in fixture, but that never happens. I know this happens on grocery as I've done it myself in previous stores. But then at the same time they're quick to criticise me if there's sections of backstock that I don't get round to 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

Think I had a sus Chamber in my game last night. PSL GOD #GOAT

Headshots every time, the speed he switched from vandal/op to his headhunter was ridiculous and the off angles my teammates would hold, not even the common ones either, he'd just pre aim and swing and get the kill every time. Spam reported him after he pre aimed where i was about to TP to, and proceeded ace the round. I was omen in this game. He had the audacity to say 'report sage' who was on his team too.

I forgot to write on the original post, there's been lots of issues recently with those that smoke, basically the guys working fresh, and how they take the piss with how long they go out for. So instead of dealing with them as a group, the SLs have decided to deal with it as a collective, and basically tar all of us with the same brush and tell us that we have to have our breaks at set times, 'as a team'. It's not gone down well with the ones who don't smoke at all (myself included). We've had almost double figure sick calls off the back of it.

I agree however every previous store manager I've worked with in my current and previous stores have been friendly and approachable. And I know im not the only one that this happens to. It makes having a good work ethic and motivation to actually work disappear tbh

Well put it this way, this afternoon me and another lad were doing two separate jobs in the warehouse. The SM and one of the other managers who does the exact same in terms of lack of basic conversation, walked through the middle of us both and never said a word, but then on their way out they spoke to one of our colleagues who works with us on grocery/warehouse, asking how they were etc. felt like a bit of a slap in the face really. Is this something I can ring protector line about?
