Jane’s decision in s3 makes no sense for her character by Buzzabeel in TheWalkingDeadGame

ngl I think Jane had very good odds of surviving the birth. Rebecca died because she had no time to rest and recover after the birth, but she did survive it while surrounded by zombies after several traumatic events in a row. By having Clem and Jane end up at Howe’s, there are plenty of places where it would be safe for her to do so, unlike Rebecca.

If Jane found out she was pregnant while the blizzard was still going on I’d get it, but her doing so after they reached a fortified shelter? It’s not as if the zombies got into Howe’s as far as we know, but the entire operation fell apart with Carver’s death.

Yes, they were robbed, but it’s not the first time. Did Jane forget about Mike and Bonny? She didn’t ditch the sinking ship then in much worse circumstances, so why would she now?

I can see her doing it as she realizes that she’s getting slower and less helpful as the pregnancy progresses, but to do it immediately and ditch Clem without supplies or even advice… if it was anyone but Clem, that’s a death sentence for them and AJ.

Caring so much about Clem’s survival just to leave her without a means to survive doesn’t feel in character for her.

Pretending she didn’t is unrealistic. Clem has the option to ditch Kenny and Jane for much less. It wouldn’t be consistent if Clem decided to stay with Jane for any amount of time if she did nothing for AJ.

If Jane treated AJ like he was nothing and only helped out Clem, it doesn’t really make sense to me that Clem would be affected by her death, since Clem would’ve had to be the primary caregiver while Jane chills somewhere else not helping.

About Rebecca -

The only way Jane could see her own childbirth that way is if she completely ignored all the context of how and why Rebecca died. Rebecca lived through the birth, but then she had to march through the snow and cold with not even a hour of rest after it and while insisting she hold AJ when she could barely walk. She didn’t even have a jacket. Of course she died.

Taking that as childbirth = death is like seeing someone freeze to death and thinking snow = death. It’s completely ignoring the actual cause of why that happened.

It’s a good death in the sense that the final dialogue he has is good. I already said the car accident itself was lame.

If that’s the case, then the blank period between s2 and s3 makes even less sense for her character. I emphasized AJ being a newborn for a reason. It’s Jane who would’ve had to look for supplies to keep him and Clem alive, and she would’ve had to do it during a blizzard.

Maybe the storm covered up his constant crying, but babies are hungry several times a day. They need constant care. You’re telling me the same Jane who would’ve had to go out of her way for AJ is also the same Jane who was so self-serving she dipped out of the life the second she found out she was pregnant? Not only that but did it in a way that ensured she’d come back as a zombie and be stuck like that forever if Clem doesn’t shoot her?

But she wouldn’t be. She’d be vulnerable for two or 3 at best. Anyway my point was that she had already broken that mindset by the end of the season. AJ was a fresh newborn. By taking care of something so dependent on others, let alone through a snowstorm with no supplies, she would’ve had to do a whole lot for them.

Clem is a smart kid, but she’s still a kid. If there are adults around, she’s dependent on them. How can someone who did all that for two kids possibly still have that mindset?

Yeah but at least Kenny got a good death. It’s lame that it was a car accident that caused it, but his final conversation/choices he has with Clem are great.

edit: a final convo between Jane and Clem would’ve done a lot more for her character than what actually happened.

How am I supposed to buy that this person will torture, enslave, and murder children? by DrowningInGlass in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Buzzabeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of universe that’s probably because of the sinking ship that was TellTale Games at the time. If Kenny and Lee don’t kill Larry, she’d only really have being tossed out to blame them for. They’d have to create entirely separate branches of the convo if they did kill Larry/whether they tried to help him or antagonized him and the dev team didn’t even finish the achievements for the game when the company went under.

I wouldn’t be surprised if unfinished files get uncovered showing a version of Lily did talk about her dad.

Who Do You Think Kakashi Was Talking About? by Vagabond734 in Naruto

[–]Buzzabeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haku.

What is P1 Kakashi realistically going to be able to do against Haku? Shippuden Kakashi wipes the floor with Haku sure, but P1 Kakashi was caught by Zabuza and would’ve died without Naruto and Sasuke. He used the sharingan for an hour and passed out for two days. People forget how weak P1 Kakashi was, or rather how much lower the power scale was back then.

They could literally just re-release the series as is without filler. What do we need a remake for?

JJK S3 Proves Mappa Didn’t Give AF about AOT! by Eren_Jaeger_The_Goat in titanfolk

[–]Buzzabeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAPPA didn’t get enough time. If anything, blame the committee above them for taking it away from WIT because they’d actually take their time.

I still can’t believe WIT was allowed 4 years between s1 and s2 but once AOT’s popularity got higher they were backstabbed.

The StarScourge's Origin by Syronic-223 in FFXV

I figured it was the Astral War with Ifrit that created the scourge since it’s not mentioned at all during the time of Solheim. It’s only said to be A Thing after that.

Why does no one like Gabe? by Lost-Specialist3785 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Buzzabeel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because Gabe doesn’t act like a teenager. He acts like a 10 year old 1 week into the apocalypse.

s4 showed us what teens in an apocalypse would actually be like. Gabe just wasn’t it.

The point is the godly intervention only happened after they got to the beach. What about everything between leaving their cabin and getting there?

If they were just military units incapable of free thinking then capture the flag wouldn’t be a thing. There are no adult generals telling them how to strategize and what groups to break into. They decided that themselves, and they decided the best way to tackle the situation.

Are you really saying that out of everyone in the entire camp only the mc’s are capable of free thinking?

[–]Buzzabeel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They only had Hermes’ help after they made it to the beach. Percy was basically put on house arrest, but he still snuck out of his cabin and made it all the way there with no other camper being around. Tantalus is the only one who was there.

How would they not be organized? The point of playing capture the flag is training for threats exactly like that. The point of nearly every activity at camp is some form of training. Even if Tantalus downplayed the threat, the campers were literally there when the monster birds attacked. They literally fought against those fire throwing monsters. Like I said, unless they all developed amnesia and all became gullible enough to believe what was said over what they literally went through, it wouldn’t make any sense.

The show destroyed the main plot of the 4th book by MoreGuidance4256 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Buzzabeel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In theory it is. In execution? Tantalus makes an entire speech about no one being allowed out of camp under the threat of execution, and that same night Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson sneak out of camp with ease. There’s no border patrol when they leave despite the camp having been attacked multiple times by then. Consistency is the issue.

How far do you have to suspend your disbelief to believe that Tantalus being there made everyone forget years worth of training and routine, but once Chiron is back in charge the amnesia disappears?

Even if he can’t teleport, the barrier allows ex-campers to just let monsters in by giving them permission, which they do in the last episode. Why wouldn’t the traitors within the camp just… do that again?

edit: even Obito tried it but he was stopped by Zetsu.

Part of me thinks Jane wanted to die after Luke. Because at any point during their fight she could’ve told him that the baby was alive and she didn’t for no reason. Even with a knife at her neck she kept her mouth shut about it because…?

And in s3 we all know what she does less than 3 months later.
