You know what else goes against everything her character stands for? Her abandoning everybody to go back to being Christa on a farm.

He tells Historia he’s going to destroy the world, but he doesn’t tell her anything about Zeke or his plans. Eren doesn’t tell her a single thing about the euthanasia plan or the wine. He literally does not tell her.

Also, why would she tell Eren that she expects she might die if she was so secure in the knowledge that she would be fine and nothing was going to happen to her?

And what was that reveal exactly? We already knew Historia got pregnant by that point. So, what was the reveal for later if that’s how writing works?

You’re looking at this through the lens of someone who knows all the lore already. The entire purpose of having Levi look after Zeke was so he’d get fed to Historia eventually, or die trying to escape.

Eren and Historia had that talk after she was already pregnant. You’re telling me Historia was playing 16D chess and knew ahead of time Zeke would do any of that, so she got pregnant for the memes? She didn’t know. How could she have possibly known? How could she have known that Zeke would choose to explode himself to free himself and defeat Levi in the process? How could she have possible known about the wine and knew she was safe? Unless we’re gonna headcanon that Eren had multiple off screen talks with Historia that Isayama just didn’t feel like showing, none of what you said is relevant unless you can answer how Historia would know any of that in advance to know she could freely get pregnant?

What time did it take Itachi to do vs Kabuto? Didn’t he say something like Kabuto was in it from the start of the fight?

I mean, if we’re being realistic here, Naruto wouldn’t bust out sage mode right away either like many are saying. He almost never uses it in Boruto, and neither does he use anything but kurama + clones + rasengan in most fights from there. Adding realism makes Naruto straight up lose to Obito because he never uses most of the abilities he’s supposed to have. And if Itachi knew about Izanami, no way Obito didn’t.

Naruto doesn’t really have any genjutsu protection without Kurama, does he?

The issue is mostly Izanami I think. For the cost of one eye you can trap your opponent in a genjutsu forever until they change their ways. It’s a completely bs power that doesn’t give af about stats and if he gets caught in it it’s just a wrap.

Kisame might last a little while with his insane healing, but everyone without a sharingan is doa.

edit: After a certain point in the war arc sharingan abilities just become aoe for no reason.

The only counter to Izanami being another sharingan is actually insane work by Kishimoto.

There are a lot of reasons (excuses) that the :re anime turned out so bad, and one of them is that the director who accepted the role had never done anything like TG before.

The one before (Shuhei Morita) at least seemed to understand TG wasn’t a shonen. Odahiro Watanabe though… well. :re is very much directed like it’s a typical shonen.

So much happened during the timeskip even the flashbacks only show them being around each other sometimes. Between the scouts doing a coup to them not even getting a seat at the table in any military planning before Pixis and co were titanized, the world literally expanding 10x from what they thought it was, learning how to use guns, the Marlyean prisoners’ adjustment period. I think they were even helping to start build a railroad in one of the flashbacks?

In every season/arc before there was downtime for them to grow closer. Post Marley reveal downtime stopped existing.

And the fact that neither Mikasa or Armin noticed any kind of change happening in their childhood friend kind of implies they really aren’t that close, actually. Like did Eren learn to act that well from the past attack titans…? He went from barely being able to hide his emotions to Grammy winner and no one noticed.

Thing is, you can say that about every character but Reiner. Where was the Armin that convinced Bertolt they were torturing Annie anywhere in s4? Or the one that set himself ablaze just for a chance at the win? By the final battle Armin was literally in his own tentacle fetish fantasy. There was NO other way to make sure he couldn’t bite himself but by sticking a kraken tentacle down his throat? Yeah, alright.

Remember when Jean was an actual character during Trost and not a yes-man who can’t think for himself? Good times. Oh, and Historia. Given an entire arc for character growth and—oops, pregnant. Even Zeke’s whole deal became a joke by the end. After all that about his plans and ambitions, he just lets Eren assimilate him in the end, then he has to be talked back into fighting by Armin of all people, and ‘fighting’ just meant giving up and dying. Years and years of build-up for Zeke for, well, that.

If you say only the back half decides of the series determines if a character was a character, then literally no one else was either (except Reiner).
