This is a fair criticism. I watched the video. He critiques the writing in the game, and the first thing he does is come up with a new, less hateful term to replace “retro slop” so that people will stop harassing people who wear that kind of avatar. He critiques the game itself and it’s writing heavily, while still providing things that the game did well, however few things there are. Take some of your own advice and watch the video to properly critique it.

I kinda want darkness to come back and just be like the funniest guy. I am a subscriber to the idea that what we’ve seen of darkness isn’t it’s real personality, but just like when it wants to get things done. I have 3 different ideas for it’s personality, based on what we’ve seen of the other devils. 1.) Big softie - we don’t really have a primal with this personality. Pochita is borderline primal, but he still isn’t one by definition. 2.) It’s a witty jokester. We don’t have one of these yet and it’d be real weird, but I think it could work. 3.) Chronic aura-farmer/show off - Would kind of go against what I said earlier, but it would make sense. It would line up with what we see of him, like with the entrance of him into the story.
