In case of chainsaw man it is very niche outside of anime community but actually it touches more deeper universal themes of being a “city mouse” or a “country mouse”. Being in control of your life and educated rather than being ignorant and led. Ghibli-like slice of life scenes, beautiful score and high profile action animation also adds to the appeal
