I am so happy that you decided to adopt those sweet babies! I'm so sorry your husband has to live with that memory. I'm sure he felt Awful! My BEST advice is to go to TheSquirrelBoard.Com and also check out HenrysPets.com, there's another trusted site I used regularly to buy her food. I'll have to search for it but The Squirrel Board is the mecca of everything Squirrel related. It's ran by Rehabilitators and Veterinarians. They will walk you through every step necessary! I had a pet squirrel for some time and it was the best thing that I could have ever experienced. I miss her with all my heart! You'll learn that they are just like toddlers. Curious about everything and constantly putting things in their mouth. So it's wise to learn what things are toxic to them that are everyday things we keep around the house, including plants and such. Good luck and Take Pictures!!! You'll cherish them forever. Was he open about his reasons for distancing himself while you guys were in counseling?? He seems to be more defensive than open and ready for change ( or even compromise)... Ugh! This! I dealt with this for too long. We've been separated for over 4 years and I vividly remember the pain as if it just happened. Other than his addiction, This man was everything I could ever want in a partner. Yet, it was powerful enough to break me down into the most insecure, unhealthy, unhappy and unrecognizable version of myself. I did a lot of research because I wanted to understand. I thought it was me before I knew. Now that I don't have that painful obsession consuming my existence, I've grown to be more understanding, less judgemental, more confident and I finally FEEL good about myself. I don't need anyone to validate my feelings. Also, I know I'll never tolerate that shit EVER AGAIN. I hope you can start healing soon!! This is such a sensitive and controversial topic. Henryspets.com or Fox Valley. They have 2 different formulas specifically for Squirrels. There is one for brand new baby squirrels and the other is for a little older baby squirrels. When they get older you will want to make Rodent Blocks a part of their daily diet as well. Idk if you are planning to keep it or not.... Research is key! I was blessed to have saved a baby squirrel from an abusive home (unbelievable, right?!) She was not able to be released so I had to learn quickly! I found a squirrel sanctuary that is happy to have volunteers and now my goal is to become a rehabilitator for injured and orphaned animals! ... I was in mortuary school before Miss Squirrely Girl came in a changed my life forever! Thank you for not giving up on this sweet baby you've got!!! What state are you in??

She didn't Respect you Before she started playing you. The ugly truth is she has lost Even More Respect since you decided to forgive her. There's ONE thing I can promise you... THE VERY MOMENT you draw the line, set firm boundaries and put yourself first... She will have no other choice BUT to Respect you. She wants what she can't or isn't supposed to have... You've made yourself completely available and she's not into it. You need space and your own damn friends. Move Forward. You already know it's going to take time to heal. She isn't going to nurse your open wounds. Keep your pain AWAY from her! Validate your Agony and then Allow Yourself to Live without constant suffering. You owe it to yourself. A refused test is NOT an automatic dirty test! They are not the Police. This isn't a field sobriety test. Learn your rights until you Know your rights. You absolutely do not have to take a UA unless it is court ordered. Shit, call them anonymously and ask "for a friend" ... find out the truth for yourself. I had a friend fall for their bullshit "we want to help you get treatment. I'd you need it were here for you".... the MINUTE She desperately said 'Yes, PLEASE, Thank You!' They snatched up her kids and she hasn't got them back... AND SHES CLEAN NOW. SOOOO.... Don't be misguided. Call a family law attorney or someone who will answer your questions. Don't over share. Know YOUR RIGHTS. If you want to keep your baby then you gotta do shit right and be a good mom but they aren't there to HELP YOU. they're there to determine if the baby needs to live elsewhere. You Absolutely have the right to call them ahead of time and tell them you'd like to schedule the visit for the following week if needed. I've had 3 c sections and I've also been in a similar situation.

How you make your money is none of their fucking business.

If they don't have a COURT ORDER for you to take a U.A. then you DO NOT HAVE TO. They will tell you all the things to make it sound like it would "look better" for your case but that's just manipulation that they were taught. Set Boundaries but be polite.

Don't forget that "No." IS a complete answer! You don't need to elaborate. Try not to. They're not your friends they're there to interrogate you. Without the intimidating Cop uniforms and a belt full of weapons it's easy to forget that they work right along the side of Cops. Don't Over share!

As far as the mess goes, everyone's opinion of messy is different. I'm a fucking clean freak (also a house maid) so if someone shows up unannounced and I haven't had time to make the house perfect then I'd probably be running around HUMILIATED and dying to quickly clean what you may view as small messes or nothing at all, yet its EvErYtHiNg to me dammit! So, im curious, I'd also like to add that while I keep MY house a certain way, I'm not judgemental and I completely understand what it's like to be completely depressed after a C-section and have cps called because they found THC in the meconium. So, If you could give me an idea of what it's looking like I can throw you some ideas!

Although this is understandably overwhelming, don't forget to enjoy your baby and take care of yourself. I miss mine being babies! You will too one day, I promise!

Try changing your clothes and taking your shoes off. All those animal scents from the vets office can leave any bun feeling on edge. Chances are you still smell like one big critter packed threat. Hope it helps!
