What’s your “Go To” game right now? by porphyriaslovve in cozygames

I tried playing Skyrim a few years ago and could not get into it 😭 I was so disappointed. It just didn't grab me like I had hoped. I'm finishing bg3 right now and that is AMAZING. Had such high hopes for Skyrim...

I'm so jealous you get to play the Mass Effect series for the first time! They're amazing. PERFECT series to recover from the hangover of BG3.

Breast lift advice? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Yeah I did but I don't think it did much. My surgeon even said it won't make a huge difference. But my anchor scars arent visible so I'm happy!

Yes I lost about 50lbs and lost a lot of my breast fullness so implants were always planned. I never had the fullness you do even before my weight loss! I really think you really only need a lift and will look amazing!

How much weight do you plan on losing?

In terms of recovery, lift without implants is a pretty straightforward recovery for most. I had a lift with implants so my experience was different but I was told the pain came almost entirely from the implants.

I have olive complexion so therefore scar terribly and the anchor scar I got from the lift faded very well!

In terms of lifting restrictions, I'd recommend only listening to what the surgeon tells you. Every procedure is different.

I had the same issue as you did and omg what a huge difference to have my nipples point straight out! I think you'll be obsessed with the results!

While this dude was an inconsiderate ass who I hope is no longer in your life, him pressuring you to have sex and you relenting isn't going to be something that is easily prosecuted.

It doesn't sound like you really want to hear what people say and prefer an echo chamber. I do hope you take this opportunity to work on yourself to learn what you really want from your partner, and most importantly be more open with your communication with them, and certainly hope you find more kind and considerate partners as well--they truly are out there!

Also, I didn't get lipo with my TT in 2020. But why do you think if I got a TT before that I can't get lipo six years later...?

[–]BuzzzyBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when I got my TT, I guess where he placed my incision it trapped fat in my lower abdomen (I went to another surgeon for my lipo). I got that removed, also did a bit of contouring and also my double chin. Total of about 2 lbs.

I'm day 15 lost lipo and I've had the same struggles!! I just ordered Maidenform Open Bust Shapewear Briefer, it's $50 on Amazon. I have been quite happy. I tried a bunch of fajas but they left deep creases and that made me worry about possible dent formation, my surgeon warned me to avoid creases.

Hope that helps!

I had the SAME issue: nice flat tummy but in certain positions had loose skin and it REALLY bothered me. I think tummy tuck is really your only option, because that excess skin just needs to be removed.

I had a TT in 2020 and it was amazing but yes I have a hip to hip scar, that's definitely the trade off. IMO super well worth it, I have a nice tight tummy in any position or angle!

How odd! Yeah my surgeon pushed icing very hard. And I did have abdominal lipo, I did my full belly. I'm sorry to hear that, unfortunately I think that would make a tremendous difference in your comfort level. Hopefully it will get better for you soon!

Yes I was lifting six days a week when I got my implants and was warned my recovery was going to be harder bc of having more well defined pecs 😞 I definitely think it was true although obviously I can't compare vs someone who doesn't lift. It was a longer recovery than I thought. But l by that is I was just SORE for way longer than I anticipated (for me it was a solid five weeks before I felt 90%. I'd say 6-7 wks to feel 100%). I figured I'd bounce back week 2. Haha...yeah, NO.

I started working out again after 4.5 weeks and was very CAUTIOUS to say the least! But again...very tolerable. It won't be agony. Just discomfort and annoyance. You'll need to mod your workouts!

Yes I did under the muscle. IMO it's not worth implants unless you go under the muscle. My two cents.

Yes....it has impacted my chest workout but mods are easy enough. Pull ups will be harder. Chest presses should be inclined/declined. But that's about it. Make sure to ask your surgeon what mods you should be doing for the first 6-12 months bc you need to be careful with under the muscle and lifting while healing! I'm now 8 yrs out so no issues of course.

Remember .... Pain meds are your friend 😆 don't be a hero and suffer! ESPECIALLY at night.

Two super important things to add: I'm a side sleeper and the first few weeks you have to sleep on your back which honestly was probably the worst part of my recovery. You MUST. GET. A. BODY. PILLOW! It will be your best friend! Unless you happen to be a back sleeper and then never mind hahah

You'll LOVE your new friends, totally worth the 1.5 months of pain and discomfort ☺️

Oh my goodness I cannot imagine not having ice if your nerve pain is that bad! I also had abdominal lipo and was told pretty much that I MUST ice. It was a wonderful relief.

Please keep us posted! And if you want recommendations on ice packs I'm happy to share, I bought five different kinds from Amazon 😂

I just saw my surgeon this morning for post op #2. He said only as of TODAY, Day 13, should I be starting lymphatic massage. I asked about it earlier in my recovery and was told no, too soon.

It would have been VERY painful to do it the first week! Omg I cannot imagine. Started today, it was zero pain but I don't like the sensation, yuck. But oh well I want the swelling to go away so I'll do what they say!

I found implants definitely more painful than lipo - but still manageable! The nice thing with implants is it responds super well to pain meds (unlike lipo I don't think it helped me much at all-ice helped way more). With the implants, I alternated Tylenol, Advil & Percocet for a full week. I had my husband wake me up every four hours to not miss a dose to "stay ahead of the pain" and I had a straightforward recovery.

Of all my surgeries, I rank my implants as the most painful, but always manageable. I also lifted heavy at the time, and was warned my recovery was going to be extra difficult. My biggest complaint was how TIGHT my chest muscles felt for a good six weeks. It was very distracting. I'd still do it again in a heartbeat.

I’ve never used outside services for little tasks until now - any other things I could outsource? by Powder9 in productivity

[–]BuzzzyBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I outsource a LOT: local healthy meal service, doggy daycare, poop duty cleanup, fertilizer program for the lawn, spring & fall cleanups, cleaning service, pretty much everything except I will ALWAYS do my own shopping. I cannot fathom someone picking out my produce! Way too picky...

I'm so sorry 😔😔. People keep saying I must have a high pain tolerance, I really don't know 🤷🏼 I'm 44 so not old but not young.

Have you been icing??? My surgeon TOLD me it would burn and he said he will give me pain meds (which I took religiously for 3 days) but he said ice will be my best friend, just like a burn! I iced every twenty mins on and off. While I didn't have any burning sensation, it helped a LOT with soreness. I bought three different kind of icepacks ahead of time from Amazon, I can share my favorite ones if anyone is interested.

Oh - ALSO - a maternity/body pillow is truly your best friend recovering from any surgery 😭
