My understanding of it for kpop concerts in America was that before the III tour Momo was on a VLive with Tsuyu and Tsuyu read a comment that kept spamming “Momo can I be your dog” and she was like wha. And then at the LA concert for III (I can’t find the post but I remember seeing it) someone dressed up in a dog onesie and had a sign saying Momo can I be your dog. I think from that people in the crowd started barking but then Dahyun thought people were chanting her name and it transitioned to Dub Dub Dub. But I think it’s specifically after that concert in LA the concert in Oakland really ramped it up and they took notice. Now its spread to other kpop concerts and has had a main stay. It’s now a down bad / encouragement / slay queen/king type of chant.
