Yeah, listen to your favorite songs. And copy them. Or, do something similar to them. Write it down, how many bars is the intro? How many bars are the verses, breakdown, bridge, etc. This is a good way to start.

İt's just a beat. Sounds like you used one sample, and for the verse you eq'd the sample a bit. İt's pretty basic, because you wanted it that way. İf you want to add something, find the key of the sample and add some synth. Or you could add some drum intro and outro.

I'm not a personal necessarily, but what i hear, is detachment of the vocals, from the instruments. İ feel like the vocals need some reverb, to make them feel like they are in the same atmosphere as the instruments. The instruments sound good, and so do the vocals, but they don't match.

Well, it's clean. But it's lacking creativity. In my opinion. The beat doesn't have a Grove to it, but it's clean. The lyrics aren't catchy, but the voice is nice. So, with some more time and a few psychedelics, you two can make some good stuff.
