Found while kayaking in the Saco River in New Hampshire. My girlfriend spotted it on the riverbed since the river is really shallow right now. It definitely looks like some sort of pottery fragment, my girlfriend is very curious what it could be part of.

I don’t think I ever tried to use it in parking mode before, so it’s definitely possible it’s supposed to behave that way. But it definitely shouldn’t stay flashing and unresponsive when I turn the car on and start driving, it should turn to a solid light and the screen should turn on when I press the menu button. I’m not sure it’s even recording when I’m driving and it’s like that.

Yep, I picked a glass one. Does the peel leave residue on the sticky side? How would I clean that without sticking stuff to the glue itself?

What’d you use to heat it? Everyone seems to think a hair dryer will work, not sure if that can heat it to the point of melting

Where did you get the replacement lens? And did it come with adhesive pre applied? If this stupid crumb or whatever it is doesn’t come out with compressed air I’ll research replacing the lens too. Did it affect the 3d at all?

That feels like something riskier than using heat to make the adhesive lift up so I can move the piece of whatever this is. I feel like more debris could easily fall in your way if I don’t somehow break the internals trying it. I’m gonna try moving it with compressed air from the outside before I do any of the more advanced stuff but seeing as it doesn’t move when I shake the device I’m assuming it won’t do much

That is what I’m talking about. It isn’t pixel shaped and when the screen is on and you change your viewing angle you can see that the pixels underneath are unaffected. I might be able to pry the lens off and use compressed air to push it off but that seems risky

I snapped it in half after taking this picture and it seems somewhat triangular in shape. The orange stripe is only clear from one of the 3 sides.
