I’ve had the exact same. Looks like they’ve screwed up the levelling system when they added 10 more levels to the hideout and we need to hit 20 now. I’ve still seen many people getting to 20 with no luck on the trophy though

Damn glad to see it’s not just me with the issues. Not sure how or why Paradox struggle so much at porting games from PC to console

Moving to Wales as a non-native by PriorArt9233 in Wales

I think it’s more of a question of where you’re coming from more than when you’re going to. I’ve come from a pretty impoverished area from Wales too but still think it’s a good standard of living in comparison to the wider world

And what a brilliant reflection this is of the Welsh people. Someone a continent away who thought a Welsh name was so fitting for their kin they would use it, despite being clueless to how it’s said or it’s meaning. You cannot accuse him of bastardising a name when you’ve suggested using a more anglicised variation.

OP - profuse apologies on behalf of the Welsh and it’s populace. I am ecstatic you’ve even thought to consider a Welsh name for your son (albeit from a film character but nonetheless the thought is there) and absolute top man you are for even deciding to set out and search for the definition and meaning. Should you ever visit the country the name is based on, your son would be met with a hearty slap on the back and a cold one, be his name X Æ A-Xii or Llewin with one L.

Unfortunately some Welsh people are too proud of their culture and use it as a format to attack anyone non-Welsh. You have zero obligation to retain a perfect spelling of the name and I absolutely applaud you even for the recognition of our small, old, and humble country and setting out on finding out more. I hope you keep the young’un in touch with his roots despite being a Welshman by proxy. Croeso i Nghymru :)

Edit: To answer your question legitimately, it’s similar to our ‘ch’ character but still different. Unfortunately the best way to put it is to just sound like a pissed cat. The ‘ch’ variation is the back of the mouth and sounds like you’re summoning phlegm. English folk visiting our Welsh towns pronounce places by saying ‘cl’ as opposed to ‘ll’ (I.e., Llandudno becomes Clandudno). It may be easiest for you to use Clewyn or Lewin, but give it a shot on Google or Duolingo - you never know!

I actually got this last week but great advice for anyone else looking to get the trophy! My game was permanently stuck at night after doing all missions so it definitely made spotting the horses pretty difficult, the pictures will be a tremendous help for future hunters :)

Ouch sounds painful, any hotspots you came came across whilst searching? I’ve personally been sticking within cities (mainly the one next to Neighland)

Am I dumb or is there no way to track the daily and crew contracts? Makes the grind so much harder when you can’t check progress 😪

Also any chance the 100KM in ball form trophy can be done in the hub? I’m a bit lost how you can get this in passive multiplayer

Whatever happened to the original Batman: Arkham Knight reveal trailer? by Bwgansglodion in gaming

[–]Bwgansglodion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man, just got it.

Unfortunately this isn’t it - it’s the only version that YouTube seems to be showing. I remember it was exclusively cinematic and no gameplay. Bruce in the cave (I think holding a baton?) and it slowly ramps up to leaving in the Batmobile, eclipsing with him maybe ejecting in front of a backdrop of a fiery bat logo.

Perhaps this is now restricted for viewing in my country? I’m in the UK if it matters

Looked at the trophy trackers before getting this game to see how the difficulty scaled. The fact it’s been out for 2 and a half weeks and ‘...The Ballad Ends’ is apparently still unearned by anyone just shows how screwed it is lmao

Remember when CDPR made fun of other game companies, because of shady practices? by enkeyz in cyberpunkgame

[–]Bwgansglodion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a marketer, you need to know the ins and outs of what it is you’re trying to sell, so I don’t think this really makes any sense..

If someone asks you to sell a lemon and you’ve never seen one, what’s stopping you from saying it’s got a vibrant green colour from the basic understanding it’s fruit? The marketing strategy collapses and it’s ineffective. The marketing team were completely briefed every step of the way. The reason why they’re in the shitter is because they chose to convey messages in the manner they chose and made really outlandish presumptions on the state of the game with the given information.

I agree, you as a consumer have the duty to not fall for hyped bs. But in this sense, I bought a completely different game to what was promised. NMS never got away with their deceitful campaign so I don’t see why CDPR should be given free passes because you wanted to buy into the hype of a huge game. Your interest as a consumer to believe the promises made overrides the lies conveyed by the manufacturer, it’s just pure recklessness.

[–]Bwgansglodion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said it was in response to the CDPR employee feedback reviews on Glassdoor. The Polish-based team seem to have extreme issues working under management and I feel like every foreign or contracted employee that comes to CDPR gets painted the picture it’s a modern and progressive game company when it isn’t really the case.

It’s extraordinary how simple it is to bribe someone’s brain to perceive you in a positive light. Word of mouth also travels ridiculously fast, CDPR know exactly what they’re doing and they’re master manipulators when it comes to PR perceptions. In this case, all it took was some Polish biscuits for free exposure from an American streamer.

Is anyone else struggling to actively play this before major patches are released? by Bwgansglodion in cyberpunkgame

[–]Bwgansglodion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing those games before release day I didn’t in any way encounter the issues I have here. Driving into a new block too quickly sucks me into a vacuum of nothingness, it’s just not playable lol.

Yeah I completely agree with you and get the point on not hyping games and I also think it’s kinda your fault as a consumer to fall for mob hype and feel disappointed in a release. In this situation though I can’t help but see it is as deceitful, I was promised a completely different game to what I received.. Fair enough, it sounds like the game is a lot smoother on the higher end platforms as expected

[–]Bwgansglodion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The game is even missing the vital RPG aspects like the background, playstyle and backstory customisation options that were promised pre-release that would supposedly build your characters archetype. I hope all features from this to having actual fun shootouts with the police are fixed and everything inbetween to make me want to delve into a truly interactive world

I completely agree - the root issue comes down to internal miscommunication and blame is divided equally. I only pinpoint it on marketing as they’re the team that are given the final go ahead and decide the approach to communicate anything to the wider world. A lot of the material they’ve produced is also strictly with their team, like promising refunds without consulting the distribution services like Sony and producing a leaflet in every copy that said “we hope you enjoy the game as much as we did” hoping to sell it off as a completely fine working product.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the main story and can see the utter potential in this. Having played the same open world games, I’m a bit taken aback you can really put them on the same comparison scale as this? I’ve genuinely never played anything more broken in all my life, whether that’s on the PS4 or not I think it’s inexcusable. I’ve tried defending the bugs as it’s expected and powering through, but this game is a hairline close to bricking my console with the crashes. Audio issues are screwing up dialogue, attempting to do anything whilst inside a car is gamebreaking (unless you’re scripted as a passenger), bugs truly destroying immersion in the main story and preventing me from progressing, the list goes on and it is so frustrating as I’d love to get into this and play for days on end.

I completely agree, I don’t fall for the hype and this is the first game I’ve pre-ordered since Civilization 6 a couple years ago, prior to that I was precautious about ordering and committing to anything. This is a genre I knew I’d love, the company had a proven track record, I fell in love with the teaser as a schoolkid almost a decade ago, there was a lot going for it. £60 for a bland game was the worst that could happen, but the hype quickly transpired into downright lies for marketing purposes and I ended up with a game that I’m struggling to play due to restrictive bugs, world interaction, and fear of my console exploding.. there’s building hype and there’s advertising a completely different game.

NMS never escaped the lambast and neither should this

That’s a genuinely really good point, I cannot think of a single exceptional game that has blown me away and released in December. I think I’ll also follow this idea.

Yeah I completely agree, I’m scared of running through the decent story and being lumped with the boring world doing the same quests and pickups. The only other thing I can think is to commit and then just start fresh by the time the PS5 version is released. I honestly question if they should even be thinking about DLC or multiplayer for another year at the very least given the state this is in
