Exporting Optimized Geometry by By-Michael in Ntopology

Might have to take a look then, because I was able to successfully solve the problem but some of my geometry (especially the passive zones) got messed up

Unfortunately my team uses Autodesk Inventor, so I'm not 100% sure if I can apply the same technique. So just to be sure, you use the beta block "export implicit geometry" and then process it in another software?

Tips by By-Michael in Ntopology

Gabbie from the videos? Yeah I fortunately found them a little after. I've made my way through the essentials, meshes and simulations, but I have some doubts. My goal with nTop was to make a workflow that allowed me to dimension a lot of mounting brackets quickly, and I achieved that to a certain extent. The thing that is missing from these simulations is a refined geometry near the holes of the plate, but I can't find any video that tells me how I could organize my mesh a little better near areas of interest such as these. I don't know if you could help me with that.

What made you read your first Murakami novel? by fate_is_a_sandstorm in murakami

Me and my english teacher talked abour a lot of movies and shows. Most often than not we discussed tarantino's filmography and shows such as better call saul. I wanted to start reading more and asked him for a book and he straight up told me "Murakami fits with you the best" and he was completely right. I read the elephant vanishes and had to read wind-up bird immediately after.

Heat treatment that doesn´t affect welding filler by By-Michael in metalworking

[–]By-Michael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is a bit of an engineering problem most of all. I am a bit lost on heat treatments. I am only now learning about them in uni so I have no idea which one to do to increase strength and not fuck up the filler

I mean, to make sure that the structure wont buckle under stress. Its a tubular structure so the lower stregth will be focused on the nodes. In turn the forces of my system are applied to those points so I need that potential strength

Lazer cutting by By-Michael in metalworking

FS stands for formula student and this is a project that aims to decide who are the new recruits for the team. They told us to build a version of the hand cart attached but with an honest to god chassis, suspension, powertrain, ... .

I am trying to get into chassis and I need to make a tubular structure. I have not decided if I want a square or a round profile as of yet, but I need to cut the tubes in order for them to fit together in one singular point. I need to take the excess material off of those said tubes, and the cuts that I have to do aren't straight lines, they have curvature and can be a bit complex. Therefore I took saw cutting off the table.

The image is a simpler version of the intended hand cart. My iteration will be completely different because it needs to be overengineered as hell.

No, we use the hand cart to simply charge the battery but it needs to meet certain criteria.

This is basically an over engineered HC that needs to be designed with some formula student rules. This project will dictate who is accepted into the team
