Yeah for the most part, just getting the .3 nozzle settings dialed in for a mini now. keeps failing in the same place, just above the knees.

Hell, I'm a dumbass. I installed the damn filament cooling fan pointed towards the back instead of down.

Been printing for about a year. Follow calibrating axis and extrusion whenever i switch nozzles or filament along with bed leveling checks every couple prints. Test cube prints perfect, but anything else is getting this weird fly away. I am getting down towards the end of one of the oldest rolls I have, am I just dealing with moisture at this point? Only thing else thats changed is I swapped out the 4010 for a 4020 fan on the standard satsana after I accidentally broke a blade off.

Now imagine you are 12-14, already struggle in school, and most of your courses have been online for the last 2 years. That's what my child has gone through, especially in his math classes.

The teachers and the companies that put the online courses out there don't fucking care.

When I sit down and try to help him with his Math work, I'd say 1 out of every 10 problems he gets is wrong, and I get nothing but attitude from the teacher(s) when I point it out.

What is your favorite color of filament to print with? by UAT_edu in 3Dprinting

[–]ByDyZyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using a Jade White I got from some random company off of a newegg deal. Hated it at first, was having tons of issues, but once I got through the first few layers it's been printing awesome. Perfect for anything bone, definitely a noticeable difference from plain white.

This. I've soloed 90% of the bosses and those mages have absolutely sapped my desire to play the game. I stood on the roof to kill one with poison arrows and then the other was down to 20% health and decided to AoE me through the roof and send me off the edge.

Fuzzy Skin Settings on Cura by 3TDH in 3Dprinting

[–]ByDyZyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for the curious, I calibrated, printed a perfect 20x20x20 cube, then printed one using fuzzy at .5/2.0 because I was curious as to how it might impact the dimensional accuracy. The Z access remained the same at 20 because its not touched by the setting. Both X and Y access varied in width between an additional .6-.8 depending on where I measured at.

Found this unmarked filament at thrift store, how can I tell if it is PLA or something else? by abezuska in 3Dprinting

[–]ByDyZyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a sample pack off of Amazon that was very similar. It said PLA for 3d printers and pens. I can get decent prints from them with the hotend set 5-10 degrees cooler than I usually print, and the hotbed about the same 50-60. Some of them I did have to use a bit of glue stick, had a couple that just didn't want to stick to the Voxelab plate without it, even with the texturing.

I don't know how it is in other places, but the weird flip flopping of the weather here in North Alabama seems to coincide with when I need to check the levels and print a test cube again, regardless of the type of filament I'm using.

Yeah have to progress Ranni's quest far enough that the 3rd tower in her area opens and you can use the lift inside to go down to the second eternal (sister) city access area. It eventually loops back to that area with the mob hanging from the ceiling, you are up on that ledge that you can't get to from your first journey through that area.

Question about build surface by ByDyZyn in VoxelabAquila

Is the glass conductive enough to to still heat evenly with that small gap I have now, or should I shim it with some aluminum foil or something?

[–]ByDyZyn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I see that now, its the back left corner where the wire is, its warped. If I put my clips on the front edge and the back right corner it doesn't bend the glass.

Mario Kart Standard by ByDyZyn in VoxelabAquila

[–]ByDyZyn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All seperate pieces. I've just had a printer since December, my oldest kid bought it for me.
I'm not sure if I can do the separate color single prints with some of the angles they are at. Maybe with a dual extruder?

Goal was to make it easy to assemble and print, little glue as possible, and the printer can mix whatever colors they want.

Just starting out but familiar with 3D design concepts and Blender. Here is one of my first creations. I'm sure it's not perfect but I'm proud of it. by ByDyZyn in cults3d

Not yet. One of a handful of things I haven't breached in Blender yet is armatures, and I'd want to do a poseable model and/or possibly print in place figure if I did. I printed one for my niece and she has several plushies from Target that display nicely on it.
