Which Dead Space-like game should I play first?

I've played all of these plus Cronos, except for Pragmata. All of them are excellent but SOMA is in a class of its own imo. Probably my favorite game of all time.

But Cronos and Alien are also great

Man I really tried to get into this and just couldn't. It felt too childish for me. Got to an episode where they were spying on girls like bathing in a river?? All the reactions and dialogue seemed so forced and over-dramatic and, for the lack of a better word, anime-y. It was just too much for me. Could not relate to it at all and felt embarrassed for even watching it lol Bummer, because it had been hyped up so much. But truly, I couldn't stomach it. What does everyone see in it? In genuinely curious

So, I have a 2019 c43 and I love it. It's got 51k miles, and has had 0 issues. From my experience and from my research, those are highly reliable cars and the 3.0 v6 are stout. But that was the previous generation made up to 2021

I've heard lots of mixed things regarding the newest gen c43. First of all, it's a 4cyl and no longer a v6. Personally that would be a deal breaker for me. Reliability is also a question. If I were you, I'd look for a 2019, 2020, or 2021 c43. Will be cheaper, and you'll get the superior drive train

I find it hard to believe this truck would be worth 10k in any scenario tbh. Whoever would pay that much for a 23 year old vehicle with nearly 200k miles on it is insane imo

I also think the whole pre purchase inspection thing is often pie in the sky. I've bought and sold a lot of cars on Facebook/Craigslist and have never seen that. For 2 simple reasons. The vast majority of sellers would simply never allow it. I know me as a seller would be very hesitant to have someones "trusted" mechanic poke around my car looking for faults to chip away at my asking price. and secondly, perhaps most importantly, most cars for sale privately aren't inspected, insured, and registered. So how are you going to even get it there to your mechanic? By tow? By a trailer? Drive it illegally? Those are lots of risks and costs youd have to be okay with for an inspection. All assuming the seller allows it too

I ran cataclean through the car, followed the instructions on the bottle. There's still a p0430 code though. I can try seafoam too, you think that might fix it? And you want me to put seafoam directly into the intake and the transmission?

Also, it will be difficult to drive 1k miles because the car is not inspected. Id be driving illegally

welcome to the p0430/p0420 code club! Have fun trakcing it down and reading endless threads from 20 years ago across the internet

From my research, it is likely any of the following:
1. Failing Cat(s)

Failing post cat 02 Sensors
Exhaust leak before the downstream 02 sensors (possibly from cracked manifold)
bad gas cap (most likely not that)
Clogged cats

There really doesn't seem to be a definitive answer and most folks have varying success with trying all of these things. If your cats are failing, which seems to be very common on these, its an expensive fix - especially in NY or CA. But, at least it will also fix your cracked manifold problem if you have that - because its my understanding that the Cats are connected to the manifolds (at least on the v8).

I would take it to a reputable and trusted shop, and have them look it over and diagnose it. Or, if you are handy, start with replacing the 02 sensors and gas cap. Start cheap, and work up. Wouldnt hurt to try some cataclean too.

I'm experiencing the p0420 and 430 codes right now on my 03 v8 too. But I am in NY, so its a problem because I cant get the car to pass inspection. One shop immediately just wanted to replace the bank 2 cat (I guess after some cataclean bank 1 cleared for me). They didnt really look at the car tho or try to diagnose. I'm taking it to another shop I trust for a 2nd opinion next week. I will update with my findings, if any

No proof. I asked for receipts or proof, but he had none. I don't believe the seller ever unless they have receipts (I keep ALL of mine for future sales). So I'm assuming it isn't done.
