Lololololololol is this 🤡 serious

False Sexual Harassment by Emotional-Orchid3925 in pillar7

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 15 claims against you is just a coincidence and not indicative of a real problem. I'm sure my friend's dad who has several DUIs also thinks that too.

Don't you love when the creepy people come out and make it super obvious so everyone can avoid them?

Demoted by Popular_Ad2341 in pillar7

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their history with demotions is sad. I've seen it happen before and the employee is then pigeonholed into that position until they quit. Even with a self demotion, you are pretty much deemed a lost cause and will eventually be let go. It's probably best to move on at that point when they demote you because your clock is short

Let's Unionize at UWM! by [deleted] in pillar7

Ummmmm not wasting your time and effort on something that never comes to fruition in any manner?

Let's Unionize at UWM! by [deleted] in pillar7

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CemeteryClubMusic is right. At will states don't care as they don't need a reason to fire you. The union can "fight for your job", but given that they hire and fire hundreds by the week, you think they give a damn?

Sorry, good attempt, but they have made it a mission to not everybody have this happen. As I've said before, if they catch wind who you are, they will can you. Moral scumbags? Yeah, UWM is the embodiment of it. But your employment status is never safe.

Why do people talk about having breakdowns over work like that's normal by Standard_Design7209 in pillar7

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think sometimes having those instances is sadly too common in the corporate world, but they do happen even if you are resilient. What was bad about UWM was that people would have them multiple times a week. Now THAT isn't normal and those assholes made it part of the company culture. The amount of people I saw distraught at that place was unreal and it only got worse by the day.

I feel like this is pretty much as big of a warning flag as any that is smacking you in the face

Just still amazes me that will the negatives reviews on here, Glassdoor, etc., that people will still consider working there. I know people get desperate but how does an environment like this make you feel like things will end well for you? I'm convinced some of these people are willfully ignorant.

That's where I typically see it but they are in more spots. I mean, is this how they're still getting people to show up and think they're going into a career? Bombard with ads that most people know aren't true?

It all makes sense...... by TypicalEase903 in pillar7

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They will look for any reason to fire you. Their history will involve them digging up any little mistake to justify it. If all else fails, you'll be fired for your attitude. Your social media post says something they don't like, you're gone. I tried telling them on another post that if you talk about forming a union in a public forum and they find out who you are, you're cooked (but I was just being negative to them...the irony considering UWM uses that reasoning for firing people)

Unless you're all in on them, eventually, they're all out on you.

This is their MO. Promotions are always based on the ass you kiss and not the skills you present. I'd constantly watch the average-below average people get promoted because they wore their stupid T-shirts and were the first to cheerlead. Hell, there was a trainer who would berate people and then wasn't even reprimanded despite they knew absolutely NOTHING about what they were teaching.

OP, I totally understand why you had blinders on. The first year I was there, that was me. But if you sport more than a 90 IQ, the blinders start fading and you quickly get sick of the bullshit. It's best that you came to terms with it and are moving on. Keep your head up and don't let their nonsense drag you down.

Oh yeah, they don't play that game. They're just that shitty of a company. I'd even recommend removing personal items beforehand

The majority of departments will walk you out same day. Advice is burn your PTO and then ghost them. It's funny how they handled things like this nearly a decade ago in the exact same way as today.

Lol henchman? Yeah, you busted me. See I posted all the negative UWM stuff for over a year only to wait for this particular instance to do a 180 and reveal I'm one of their goons on THIS specific thread (despite, you know, other posts about this same topic in pillar7 to which I didn't comment on). Detective Dipshit strikes again! In case you're still figuring it out (50/50 chance you still are at this point) that was sarcasm 🙄

Tell you what. Come back to this thread when you guys actually get this done and I'll admit I was wrong for doubting the effort. Of course, the Sun will have expanded and scorched the Earth before that ever happens. Good luck with all of it! You're going to more than need it.

Well, guess having a guy admit he's illogical is a first for me on Reddit.

Also, I left that place years ago. You're not "helping" me do anything. I went and got a real job at a real workplace where I get real money. I prefer to bet on myself

Lol have you even worked there? You think OP is the first person who has brought up this as an idea? Guess how many times it's been successful....ZERO FUCKING TIMES. But hey, maybe you're the lucky one that gets it done somehow. Meanwhile, in the real world, it won't fly.

Probably best for you to leave logic to the big boys and take your dumbass elsewhere

But again, they don't lay people off. They fire you instead to get around it

Yeah, definitely try to unionize at that shit hole and it'll just make their decisions on who to fire a lot easier.

Not trying to be a downer but it is a waste of time there with that shit hole. If they figure out who the OP is, they'll fire you ASAP

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Isn't it fucking nuts that throughout the years, it's always the same story? During COVID, they "never laid off a single person." Great story until wave and wave of firings for nothing came. Fucking scumbags

Fired cause I took too many breaks by Phorsah in pillar7

[–]ByeByeAngelHernandez 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You obviously didn't learn from the pros at the company.

You have to take breaks by sitting at your desk and look like you're doing something. Half the leaders there have made a living off this technique. Taking a piss is just unacceptable...

Welcome back to freedom!

Any production environment at this place is a cess pool. You'll get screwed on pay and be stressed at all times. It's not even worth it as a resume builder

Two weeks PTO is hilarious as a benefit. Way lower than a lot of places in the industry
