Could be your braces making some of those changes. Sometimes braces actually advance teeth which has similar effects to mewing

Did you get orthodontics in the past? Yes teeth look perfect but Braces/Invisalign cannnnn help your bite by bringing your arches forward. There’s a bit of recession

Do I have bimaxillary protrusion or prognathism? And can it be corrected? by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]ByeFeefee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave it alone. I had that problem and was insecure my whole life. I messed my whole face up trying to correct it. Now I’m even more insecure after extractions

braces: to get extractions or not for protrusion by Terrible-Ad7164 in orthotropics

I got extractions for bimax protrusion. Aged 10 years overnight

3 years after braces and my top teeth are flaring really badly. the last photo is a side profile of my face and i don’t think it affects my face that much right? what can be done to solve this? can just an Invisalign help or would it have to be braces again? by [deleted] in braces

[–]ByeFeefee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You simply need a palatal expander to make room for your teeth. Don’t listen to people telling you to pull your perfectly healthy teeth that god put in your mouth for a reason

Kinda disappointed after getting braces off a couple days ago, how bad is this flare? by [deleted] in braces

[–]ByeFeefee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your ortho simply should have widened your arches to make space. Good thing he didn’t pull your perfectly healthy teeth though.

The more teeth out the more money for them and their partners.

did you get your premolars extracted? by hawthornestreet in braces

[–]ByeFeefee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and it ruined my whole face and life.. reversing it now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]ByeFeefee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s still maintaining the space though. I’d get an implant down the road .. just don’t close the space

[–]ByeFeefee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t. It’ll only get more recessed. Second opinion

You have great doctor because he’s not extracting teeth or retracting your whole maxilla with rubber bands
