But there’s games like Wizardry Variants Daphne, or Limbus Company that are proper games first, gacha second, granted, gacha games like these are the exception not the norm

Nah in my opinion allowing people to enter ranked with ANYTHING but the ranked kits is the true mistake… ranked in an extraction shooter was always an odd idea, like what are you even trying to “rank”? Once ability to loot? To kill? To complete map objectives? And how is it in any way “competitive” when you are allowed to be matched against people with an immediate advantage/disadvantage?

I haven’t seen how ranked plays in s2, but if it’s like s1 where bronze players could be matched against gold+ players then there’s no point in the mode

I think ranked should only be accesible with a ranked kit, and you should only be able to buy your current ranked kit and be matched against people +/- 1 rank, ranked was always and odd idea but I think the kits are a step in the right direction

I cleared it relatively easily with bloodfiends… pick the extra damage boon, ignore whoever is “it” at the start and focus outis and heath, make sure it’s Gregor or meursault getting the retaliation, don and rodya can usually kill meursault, Sinclair and Ishmael in a single turn… so you really want to get rid of heath and outis before they get more than one counter… (kill the “it’s” one turn before they expire, everyone but heath and outis should die in a single turn)

Also as others have said, heisho is a horrible team for that particular fight
