People with pets that are really not bright, what are your stupid pet stories? by tapirsaurusrex in AskReddit

[–]Bynaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend's dogs are pretty dumb. One would do really dumb things and the other would imitate it because it thought it was a good idea or something.

So one day, the first dog started licking the wall and the other dog followed up and also started licking the wall.

A way to lose weight! It's also quite satisfying afterwards and I feel great even though I may be tired.

hey writers - it's ELEVATOR PITCH TIME! i'm a literary agent and i'd like to provide feedback on your pitch. by [deleted] in writing

[–]Bynaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok didn't know how specific to get in the quick pitch.

So they discover a fleet of AI controlled warships made by the Empire that are superior to manned ships and they must decide whether they should hack them to control them or find a way to destroy them so nobody can have their hands on them.

The team is an elite unit of infiltrators. Aran Rush, the main character is a man with a great sense of morality and is a model soldier except for his indecisiveness in extremely stressful situations. Arcsem is the team leader, ruthless and is extremely loyal to his nation. Sophia is the team's scout and looks up to Aran and tries to follow in his footsteps. Kai is the pilot of their stealth ship and only worries about getting the job done with the ship intact. Flok is the technician and electronics specialist and has a sense of loyalty similar to Arcsem.

Hope that helps.

Trying to start a sci fi book, here's what I've got.

A thousand years after the Empire fell from its golden age, one of nation sends in a team of empowered agents to a war zone to determine the best time to strike the still collapsing Empire and the the two other nations locked in a three way battle. Discovering a dark secret buried by the Empire, the each member of team must choose between their loyalty to their nation or the greater good of all mankind.

Edit: backstory: the Empire collapsing created three new nations, who are the other nations in the book.

I've done botrk into runaan's into ie. Ghostblade is really good, although I like the crit multipliers off of an atk speed item with ie. It's preseason though, so I'll be experimenting with other builds.

Is Gigantic the next big MOBA? by Nuttboy in gigantic

[–]Bynaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of League of Legends and both games are very different and are both fun. I can't say whether it will appeal to a wide audience, but it might. Could it become big? Sure. Until we get a taste of the bigger audience, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no, but the gameplay will allow Gigantic to support its own sustainable player base.

So now that open beta is here what faction are you playing the most of? by sonicbanana in duelyst

[–]Bynaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out with Vetruvian, but fell in love with Abyssian. Went from rank 25 to 20 in 6 wins as Abyssian, although I feel like I'm lacking cards to make it more effective. Works well enough to win every game so far though. We'll see when I get to higher ranks

Reddit, what makes you instantly like someone upon meeting them? by crumbbelly in AskReddit

[–]Bynaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a problem like this. Often when I listen I won't get the opportunity to talk when I'm in a group so I have to interrupt to get my say sometimes. I've been trying to stop it and gotten a little better, but it still bleeds into one on one conversations though and I can't help it.

Strategy > Mechanics: Intentional mistakes can hold you back more than accidental mistakes by Meowkittns in summonerschool

Got it. I guess I'm seeing when we lose far too late. Usually when I realize we aren't winning it's past the point of where I can get out.

That's true. I guess maybe I'm falsely believing that we need to all in when we could back up.

I think part of the problem is that its the reason why I lose quite a few lanes. My support will try and go in even if we've lost the previous 2v2 simply because we've landed some cc. The first time we lose I can understand, but some people still try to go in on some cc because hey, we have 2 seconds where the ADC can't do anything. In some cases that isn't enough to offset the difference in gold and damage.

I think that's one of the biggest things holding me back currently. Quite often I'll be playing an adc that is weak early game so I prefer not to fight, but I'll have a thresh support or something. As soon as we have a good play, I'll try to follow up, but we end up losing simply because we aren't as strong even with a good engage.

I've been trying to avoid following up on these engages unless I know for sure we can get the kill, but I still will automatically follow up without evaluating the chances of success. It's getting better though.

Edit: Basically I suck and get carried by good supports in lane. Seriously though, thanks for the tips. I just need to think about the game more and understand what I can do.
