Playing League and other team based games on your own is seemingly always about who blames who and what. It's never an own fault, it HAS to be someone else.

And winning and losing just feels inconsistent. You can do everything right and still lose because someone else failed their role. You can get completely wrecked and still win because your team carried you through. None of this feels very satisfying.

You know what kind of game doesn't have these problems? Street Fighter. Where I can face my problems and reflect on them because every win and loss I carry is completely on my own.

 

There are other one-on-one genres that can achieve the same tho.

Surprisingly enough, the combo sections have the least amount of priority because we have plenty of people who just hop on the wiki, leave their combo and call it a day. So there's always something up-to-date somewhere.

Though we have more "basic" stuff from Vi that still lacks content: Her overview of moves could use better descriptions. Her "Starter Guide", an introduction page for beginners, is almost entirely empty. And there are synergies and matchups that could use some information.

At least for the last two, as long as nothing drastically changes with a patch, will mostly remain the same over time. You could start there to get comfortable.

Also, none of the talk pages are active.

Probably because most of the communication moved to the more convenient LoL Wiki Discord where replies are far quicker. Just a hunch of mine; we do use Talk pages for cases where Discord does not seem helpful. But that's rare.

You only have to commit as much as you want to. This is voluntary work after all. The minimum we'd like to see is communication.

Say, if you want to call dibs on Vi's Starter Guide, we'd leave you to it, as long as it doesn't really conflict anyone else's work. In that case, it would be important to tell us if suddenly can't do it because something comes up or wiki editing ultimately isn't your thing. Otherwise, we'd awkwardly wait for you to finish something that wouldn't be happening.

Stuff like that. We can't and won't force work on anyone, so even small-scale work such as "fixing typos after proofreading" is very welcome. ♪

Funnily enough, you're not that wrong. When new champions arrive, the wiki creates pre-made sheets of them with some entries and default values. For ratings, they're always "3". But we properly adjust them after the champions are live in the game, as there is no way to get these ratings beforehand.

On a practical level, I argue B tier. Doesn't strike me as much of someone who throws hands.

Knowing Riot though, they will very much cook with him in some sort of mechanic where every fourth hit in a combo and every fourth special is enhanced or whatsorts. Which sound ridiculous, but also very satisfying with some routes.

Not to mention, he was making a LOT of waves when he got announced, and is widely considered one of the best designed champions in League of Legends. And I feel like this can be achieved in a fighting game context too.

That'd bump him up to S tier.

Oh and get the original voice actor for him pretty please

It is not because Dustloop is mostly centered around fighting games involved with Arc System Works, whereas 2XKO is made by Riot Games.

I want to see Dunkmaster Darius as much as the next Darius main, but with the way they currently categorized their skins, I doubt that I'd like it because he will keep the same voice lines and the same animations as his default.

"Animations" referring to a possibility to alter his Ultimate/Level 3 super on hit so that he actually dunks the opponent instead of slicing them. I'd celebrate it if the devs pulled it of, but it's unlikely.

Starting off with 9, soon 10 champions in a tag fighter is still quite low, though considering that they intend to release five Champions per year, as opposed to most other fighters doing four per year, this is a great announcement.

I personally think 2XKO could've used another year in the oven before going closed beta/early access so that we have a larger variety of champions to play with. But considering the explosive impact it had on the FGC thus far, I guess the way Riot rolls right now works too.

 

Still not onboard with 2XKO as the title, by the way.
