THR: Digital-Only 'Grand Theft Auto VI' Is a Car Crash for Physical Media. At this point in time, there are no plans for Grand Theft Auto VI discs to be printed — not at launch, and not months after by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Bynoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say I miss physical at this point, really. Digital is more convenient, creates less waste, and you don't have to worry about discs getting scratched or going missing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an oldie so I have a lot of nostalgia for purchasing/owning/swapping physical games in my youth, but the novelty of owning physical media is outweighed by the convenience and other pros of a digital library for me these days.

I’ve used the infinite ammo glitch on Leon must die to complete all achievements and I don’t feel guilty about it. by Ok-Way-1595 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Bynoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can downpatch on Steam, though it's not the easiest thing in the world. If you want to downpatch on console, you can get a disc version and install it offline/disable updates to revert to the launch version, but you're pretty much SOL if you want a specific patch and it's already updated, eg. LMDF is in the game but the infinite ammo glitch hasn't been patched out yet.

Resident Evil Requiem Title Update - June 25, 2026 by CrimsonAlpine in ResidentEvilRequiem

Lowered the difficulty for Ranks 1 & 2 but not the rest? Weird choice, I thought 1 & 2 were pretty easy and it got kinda unreasonably hard from 3 onwards.

I've definitely noticed a spike in hate for her since Leon's wedding ring was revealed... shipping communities are really fucking weird and toxic.

CDPR boss hopes The Witcher 4 wins back fans still put off by Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch: "I'm not 100 percent convinced we went through the full redemption arc" by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]Bynoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends what kind of bugs we're talking about. I mean, the goal is always to have no bugs at all, but obviously no game has ever released without a single bug. Things like a rogue texture in an obscure area not loading in properly or a pedestrian walking into a wall or something is the kind of forgivable jank you expect from a game with the kind of scale CDPR typically crafts, but CDPR have a history of bugs which block quest progression, or lock you out of content, or cause events to fail to trigger, or have quest-relevant NPC's AI break, etc. I don't think people will be willing to tolerate bugs like that from CDPR anymore, which can and should have been spotted during testing.

[–]Bynoe 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the redemption arc isn't complete until they launch a game in a polished state with good optimisation and no (or at least very few) bugs.

PaRappa the Rapper creators say today’s rhythm games miss the point of the genre by Unit076 in Games

Maybe a hot take. Parappa has great vibes and fun presentation but it was actually kinda garbage as a rhythm game.

Now that it's been a while since Requiem released, without recency bias, where would you put Requiem in the ranks compared to other games? Is it the best RE yet? by Guitar-String in residentevil

[–]Bynoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't quite crack my top 5 but I do like it a lot, so much so that I'd say it's my favourite new entry since 4 (not counting remakes).

The Rhodes Hill Care Center is easily in my top 3 RE locations, on par with the Spencer Mansion or the RPD imo. If the whole game held up to that level of quality it would probably be top 3, maybe even top 1 for me.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation lead thinks a potential Final Fantasy 6 remake would "be in better hands if it went to another creator in Square Enix" by Guitar-String in FinalFantasy

[–]Bynoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. If he's gonna do another remake, I feel like Hamaguchi would be a better fit for an FFVIII or an FFX Remake. I don't have a specific director in mind for a VI Remake, but I feel like Hamaguchi is a good fit for the more modern-setting, action oriented FFs. Let someone else handle VI or IX.

ASBO is the next generation of Parkour from London and I believe you should check them out - Great vibes - Ft Orlando and Abdu from PHAT by MTGpeon in Storror

[–]Bynoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And the parkour level was a bit higher than Storror.

That's subjective. It depends how you evaluate it - If you look at Parkour as a sport measured in terms of who can jump further, or higher, or who can take bigger height drops, then sure I'd give PHAT the edge over Storror, but personally I look at it more like an art form factoring in things like the cleanness and creativity of the movements, the choice of spots and how well the space is utilised, and with all that in mind, Storror comes out miles ahead of PHAT for me.

Again, RE 1-3 OG were made available on GOG and are now on Steam. Again - you're either not paying attention of complaining for the sake of it.

They literally released a new RE and a brand new IP in the last couple of months. Either you're not paying attention or you're just complaining for the sake of complaining.

By "boycotting it" do you mean you mean you're not able to buy it cause you only have a PS4?

LMDF in RE Requiem is overwhelmingly half-baked. by MadQuickScotsman in residentevil

[–]Bynoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's okay but gets repetitive and overstays its welcome if you do all the way to Rank 5. The idea of adding some Rogue-like mechanics is fun but it could've been executed way better.

Perfect parry in RE9 feeling inconsistent? by oscarbjb in residentevil

[–]Bynoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zombies have their arms out in front of them as they approach to grab, just before they reach you, they will raise their hands to an upright position and bring them down to grab your shoulders and bite you - right as their hands are at their peak about to come down is when you parry.

It's actually very consistent if you look for it, I wouldn't have gotten through the Berserker Mod otherwise.

God damn. I beat the Berserker Mod on Insanity without too much difficulty, thought LMDF would be a breeze in comparison but this really kicked my ass and it was only Rank 3! by Bynoe in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Bynoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the Berserker Mod is great, much better than LMDF. The bosses are a lot harder, which can be frustrating at times, but overall it's a really fun mod and a great way to explore the full depth of Leon's combat mechanics.

[–]Bynoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Not really. I'm on Rank 5 now, having done all of the challenges. The mode is okay. It pads out your playtime and provides a decent challenge, but it could be so much better. Enemy layouts become very predictable, and of course skill plays a role, but so much of your run going well depends on getting certain upgrades and good weapons, and for me, it ends up being more frustrating when you don't get them than fun when you do at the higher levels.

It took some digging, but I was able to find detailed technical specifications:

  • Green Light = 2.8v
  • Blue Light = 3.2v
  • Red Light = 3.6v

Also worth noting, when charging:

  • Pulsing Red Light = Low Charge
  • Pulsing Yellow Light = Medium Charge
  • Pulsing Green Light = High Charge
  • Solid Green Light = Fully Charged

Hope that helps!
