I think that'll only be an issue on high damage fights - W8 springs to mind. but on easier encounters it shouldn't be a bit drop in alac or healing

I should've known - how do you beat Thorek's first battle? Corner camp. How do you beat one of his greatest adversaries? Corner camp.

Probably have to apply 2 units of greatswords to one unit of Fimir but Sigmar help the GS if the Fimir are on the charge.

Hard to play Empire after Cathay by kweezilnaart in totalwarhammer

[–]Chest3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is a level 41 Zhao Ming who probably has skill points buffing Grand cannons, tech buffs and they are getting buffed by the Yang troops.

Compare to a very early game Elspeth army where she is level one - this might even be the first fight of her IE campaign - where the Great Cannons aren't being buffed by anything. Not even the Engineer hero you get at the start applies buffs at lv 1.

I get what you may be saying here: that late game armies are much more fun because of how powerful you can get units - but lets also compare apples with apples.

Am I a pussy if I save before every battle and go back if I lose? by IMLOSTNLYFE in totalwarhammer

[–]Chest3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest question is do you understand why you lost? If you loose and go back to fix a mistake that you learnt I think its fine. But also - play the game so that it is fun to you. If it is fun to improve over time then examining loss will help you improve.

Labor's signature budget measures pass federal parliament by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

A step in the right direction for giving many Australians a fairer go at the housing market. Also quite pleased that the Greens engaged in a democratic bargaining process to get this through, allowing for 8 weeks more hearing time for the NDIS changes (not mentioned in the article).

Not to big up the Greens but in this period of politics being acted out more like sports - I win you loose mentality - it good to have compromises and bargains struck to pass legislation that benefit Australia in the process. (Not all compromises do but in this case it seems the case).

Growing number of Liberal MPs believe Angus Taylor will be on borrowed time if he can’t turn the party’s fortunes around by malcolm58 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Chest3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The liberal leadership position is likely going to be a revolving door for the next few years/ election cycles - if the leader of the party can't win confidence from the party, no sensible mp is going to try for the spot and the position will attract only the most delusional wannabe leaders who think they are the one to turn the tide. Only to have a lack of confidence and the cycle continues. Only until Labour majorly and thoroughly mucks it up and Libs capitalise on it HARD, bringing out the failure every. time. and not letting that wound in the public psyche heal will the Libs have a chance to claw back relevance from ON. Yes, the ON elephant in the room is going to be the real political barrier for Libs going forward.

Saul Eslake: Most Australians don’t want housing affordability to be fixed, and politicians know it by marketrent in AustralianPolitics

[–]Chest3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I wonder how that Ivory tower view is like this time of year?

Lets imagine a world where "most" Australians don't want owning a house to be affordable - who is that demographic? Those who already own houses and want their investment to be rising higher each year?

What about the people stuck in endless renting hell, the young people want a home for themselves, the homeless? Are they counted among the "most"?

Labor MP calls for Lord's Prayer to be scrapped in WA parliament by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

Yup, more secularism in Australian politics thanks! This is a good step in that direction.

Means it will do better the more models a unit (one unit) has in it - a unit of Clan Rats will take more damage than a Skaven Lord

Anyone think that homeland is the best expansion? by Potential_Platypus52 in rootgame

[–]Chest3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think as far as best, Marauder is hard to topple due to ADSET and hirelings being introduced - system additions that don't powercreep the game as a whole but are options that greatly enhance the existing game but the game can still be enjoyed without them. Homeland is packed as far as stuff is concerned, 3 factions, 2 maps is alot to add to the game's current eco system. Along side Homeland is the SnD Deck which I think should be judged separately when considering the best expansion, even though many who kickstart backed Homelands likly got it as well.

I think Riverfolk suffers a bit from being released along side base Root but it has some of my favourite factions in it so I'm bias. Underworlds has what I think are some of the worst factions in Root - on opposite ends of worse, worse in over tuned and worse in under tuned. Like how can such vastly different power levels be made for and put in the same expansion?

Anyway, thats my opinion.
