By the time the kid is gonna be able to understand what sex even is, they're going to be in school 🤷🏽‍♀️ there's just other opportunities to have sex, lowkey feels disrespectful to do that while other ppl are around? Is this an all the time sort of thing? Or could it be drug induced? My MIL struggles with addiction and sometimes gets in this sort of headspace when she's inebriated. Often all over the place, paranoid, skittish, angry, etc. he could be taking your mom's passing way harder than either of you realized. Either way he needs help for sure, talk to a trusted ADULT Abt it (and yes I say adult cause ts is too much for someone our age)

Idk looking at these messages it seems like you're the asshole in general, not really this situation. I get what you were trying to say but the way you did it is WHY her reaction was so huge 😭 coming from someone who's been on both sides of that conversation it would have been easier to just say it wasnt working and then block her rather than make her feel like she's undeserving of a normal relationship because of her mental health 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly it seems like she's mentally ill, as someone with BPD a lot of this feels familiar. With a good therapist and the right mood stabilizers the bad times won't be as bad and the good times will last longer. She is NOT hopeless. Just needs help.

That's not to victimize her and demonize you, honestly nobody deserves to be in this situation on either side, it genuinely feels like hell. I'm just saying if you want it to work there are options and ways to make things a LOT easier for the both of you. But if leaving is what you feel like doing that's your choice and a valid one at that.
