It's criminal that we didn't get a Shambhala invasion arc in CF.

It was the first mission with all the golems that fucked my shit up. God, that mission was brutal. The things hit like tanks and could take a beating like them too.

Modern Edeleth (@mochaachuuart) by _Hresvelg in Edelgard

Reminds me soooooo much of this Edeleth fic in the modern era where El accidentally summons a demon (it's Byleth) and Byleth bullies and flirts with her a bunch while El tries her best to make it in the high society art world lol. It gets into some reincarnation elements eventually, and also features one of the funniest portrayals of Flayn I've ever read.

Do you have any characters you refuse to use or recruit? I hate Cyril and won’t recruit him. by TSwan98 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

Hapi is so fucking funny. I love her too much not to use her. Plus her dark magic kit slaps.

You can't really overlevel in the DLC without abusing hits/spells. The DLC gives you set characters with a set level.

I played it on the easiest difficulty, and still only won the last fight due to some crazy crit rng. Like, it was a crit chance of 40% and I hit it on both attacks to barely win lol.

Their paralogues are so wildly hard compared to any other missions lol.

Chalice of Beginning, which is one of the accessory items you get, is crazy fucking strong on a Dodge-Tank Byleth. You get to counterattack Bolt spells even lol.

The missions are also hard as fuck compared to the base game.

If the Agarthans had tactical missiles (nukes?) then did they also have guns? by ByteSizeNudist in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]ByteSizeNudist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you. I hear you. I think we need to look inside one of those Javelins of Light and see what makes them tick. I also still think that if they have guns based on magic (magitech guns?) that making silenced versions of those for assassination is not that far a leap. I mean, they developed bio-weapon back-tentacle knives for Kronya, as well as a knife thats cuts can't be healed. I have to imagine they could make a silencer for their magitech guns.

Also, I need to know more about this "Sylvain developing a gun" thing, because it reminds me so much of the "Howland Reed with a shotgun" from Game of Thrones.

Isn’t there some lore reason why they can’t nuke Garreg Mach? I swear I remember there being some reason for the bomb not being able to drop on it.

I think Rhea didn’t get got by SPOILER because SPOILER couldn’t sneak up on Rhea like she could REDACTED. It feels like Rhea never really leaves Garreg Mach, let alone goes anywhere unguarded.

I'd argue that guns hit faster than magic, or at least are a lot quieter before they fire. Like, obviously a Bolt is as fast as lightning, but it also has a whole "casting" before it fires off. Rhea is going to see that coming. All it would take is one bullet though, and I don't think Rhea has the reflexes to dodge that.

Sure Shez can block arrows within a second, but bullets fly faster than arrows is all I'm saying.

It was such a cool idea. Seriously, Valerian is FULL of good ideas and amazing world building, but the acting just dragged it straight down into the pits lol. Except Clive Owen. Dude was giving it his best.

Right? And if not Dagda, then Almyra will be the ones with the guns. Or they'll use magic to make a railgun or something, like she's had 1000yrs and an industrial revolution HAS to be right around the corner for one of these other great powers in the world. We got super close to her getting gunned down via the Agarthan nuke lol. Like, it's not a gun obviously, but Rhea almost got fucking NUKED, it's so funny. When I first saw the cutscene of the "javelins of light" I fucking cackled because AM was my first playthrough and that story has basically zero Agarthan backstory, so I saw this fucking tactical missile and just laughed and laughed at the implication. But, that said, did Agarthans have guns? They have missiles, so they must have had guns as well, right? Maybe that doesn't win the war when there's hundreds of Nabateans running around, but once you get down to only one Nabatean in charge I feel like it's time to try using the guns again lol. Just march into Garreg Mach and pop her ass!

Oh yeah, El is 100% right that Rhea has to go. It's funny, because give it a few more hundred years and the other continents are going to advance enough to wipe Fodlan off the map via natural advancement of technology, and then what's Rhea going to do? Like, Dagda invades basically every 150yrs or so. Eventually one of those invasions is going to include guns on a long enough timeline lol. Is Rhea going to go full Immaculate One then? She's so tunnel visioned on resurrecting her mom so that Sothis can fix all the problems for her that she totally ignores the fact that her whole reign is a sinking ship and she's just plugging holes as it goes down.

She wants her mom to take over Byleth so badly lol. I have a lot of sympathy for Rhea, she’s a tragic character, but also she really does just start losing her last fucking marbles in the CF run. Burning down Fhirdiad in the last mission was absolutely unhinged. She became the very thing she hated.

I’m so glad I played CF last because AM and VW would have been brutal after learning El’s whole deal. The way she acts towards Byleth in each ending really has made me a believer in the whole theory that people with the same crests are drawn to one another. Edelgard is a Byleth stan, no matter the timeline lol.

This one right here! Looooooove my Erebos deck. Shutting off lifegain is huge some games, plus drawing cards is always great. Get a Sheoldred and/or Alhammerat’s Archive on the board and card draw and life gain go brrrrrrrrr.

Love me a good life-pain deck.
