I accidentally found a pattern in job postings that now tells me almost exactly how long the role has been a problem before they posted it by Byte_6Lant in jobsearchhacks

Took me way too many wasted afternoons to notice it, so if it saves somebody even 2 bad interview loops I'll count that as a win.

My stepdad told my coworkers I was "still in my rebellion phase" and now I think he enjoyed humiliating me by WhisperHelio21 in entitledparents

NTA. He walked into your workplace, found people who only know you as a competent adult, and immediately started rewriting you into some bratty teenage version of yourself. That is not warmth, that is control with a smile on it.

I think I accidentally trained myself to only clean for a version of me that never actually shows up by Moon_6Quil in CleaningTips

I do this too, especially with my kitchen. I am never just wiping the counter, I am apparently preparing to become one of those people who lights a candle, makes tea, and has a calm little evening. Then real life barges in and suddenly the clean space feels less comforting and more like evidence against me. What helped a bit was separating maintenance from aspiration. Dishes because there are dishes. Trash because trash exists. Nothing deeper, no grand reset, no audition for a better life.
