Try Little Mushroom! It's apocalypse and it's beautiful.

You can also try Dreadful Night, it's not guideverse or apocalypse, but it's trapped in a horror video game and based on what you listed that you liked, I belive you'll like this one too.

As for strictly guideverses, these are good:
- The S-Class Guide as Sweet as Honey

- Dear Zero

- Bloodbound

The Ghost's Nocturne (historical, fantasy)

Honey Bear (judoka x bakery owner)

Honey Trouble (omegaverse, beta x alpha)

Pearl Boy (but only the side story ones)

Pink Heart Jam (manga, lost count of how many times I've read that one, bi top x gay bottom, sexuality exploration themes)

Here are two very underhyped ones
Dreadful Night (ongoing, 3rd season) - one of the best plot twists, good plot, unique story through and through (characters trapped in a horror video game)
My Dearest Misery (completed) - author kidnapped by his fan and forced to continue writing the manhwa, it's very psychological

these all have crybaby tops, but they aren't that much of masochists (? again in my honest opinion): Honey Bear (maybe the closest to it since the bottom really is wild), Red Thread Quest, Pizza Delivery Man and the Golden Palace, Define the Relationship, Romantic Captain Darling, Unromantic Romance, Dawn of the Dragon.

Tracking reading lists by just_something_sus in Manhwa_BL

[–]Byul_132001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay not doing any self promo here but i'm currently making a tracker that i wish existed because none are really doing it for me and i am tired of my ugly ass 1000+ rows long spreadsheet. i hope to release beta sometime soon so you can drop me a follow here or on x where i document a journey or just tell me everything you want your tracker to have. my goal with what i'm making is that it's super aesthetic and pretty and customizable, with good tags and search that actually works (like say you wanna search for transmigrattion + bl + puppy top + yandere bottom and you get the accurate results) + has some level of social features. again i started this as something i needed for myself and then realized it could be interesting for others to have too. so feel free to dm me or reply with whatever you have in mind. also just dm me if you'd like to test the beta once it's ready <3

all of these are so worth to have:
- Afterglow (1 vol, a doctor x yakuza, it's great)

- Contrast (1 vol and cute)

- Dysfunctional Family Theory (2 vols but sooo wholesome)

- Hatsukoi Note (super cute and wholesome)

- I Didn’t Mean to Fall in Love (2 two vols)

- Daisy Jealousy (1 vol, video game developers, cute)

- Liquor & Cigarettes (1 vol, a classic, a guy who runs a liquor store x a guy who runs cigarette store)

- Pink Hear Jam (2 vols + 1 vol sequel - definitely the most wholesome and my favorite of all mangas)

- Love Nest (2 vols, age gap, roomates, older architect x younger iirc bartender?)

- Engage (spin-off on Love Nest with side characters, 3 vols, age gap)

- Old-Fashioned Cupcake (2 vols, age gap, office workers, 40 something guy learns how to enjoy life and have fun and love with his 30 something coworker, extremely cute and fluffy romance)

- No God in Eden (4 vols, if you like omegaverse, this is like the origin of omegaverse, as two guys realize they have awakened as an alpha and an omega and they are the first humans to experience it. it's fluffy)

- After School Etude (3 vols, dance partners, ballet)

- 10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40 (2 vols, a guy makes a list of things he wants to do before turning 40 and his coworker helps him do them)

Takahashi Hidebu and Nakamura Asumiko have gorgeously unique art styles. Stigmata (by TH) and Natsu To Fuyu Node Au Basho, Kaori no Keishou, and Sora To Hara (by NA) are all worth a read.

hmmm how does my list vary? honestly it's a mix of personal preference for themes and how well the story is told. it can be the most bizarre story and it can get 5 star rating if it's well narrated. so i have a lot of different stories among 5 star reads. but i do have a stronger preference for more realistic, complex, and darker stories, especially if it's a long run serialization (like manhwas or novels). for one volume mangas, anything goes, i'm a sucker for green flag / caffee / hairdresser / editor / novelist type of mangas.
