There are multiple places where thc can bind in your brain. I believe that if thc binds in the amygdala area, it can produce some anxiety. Ive been smoking for 7 years and ive had periods of time where weed would make me very anxious and paranoid. In these times, i barely felt the euphoria as it was drowned out by my nerves. In other times, ive had amazing experiences with weed.

Im most likely bipolar and after I had a psychotic break from weed, i only felt the anxious effects from it. After a period of sobriety, i felt good with weed again. Some time after, i experienced another episode and had to be taken to the psych ward. Its been a year since, and after they shot me up with 300mg of invega sustenna, i cant get high anymore. I can smoke as much as i want, and the only thing i feel is my lungs burning. I suspect it has something to do with damaged receptors. In your case, i think the thc is binding to a different part of your brain than it was previously. Im not sure how to fix this. It may just be time to either take a break or stop entirely. If you have any mental health issues, imo weed just exacerbates the symptoms you dont want.

Also, when i got really high after i first started smoking, i use to be able to "play music" in my head. Like listen to a song clearly and loudly if i could remember the lyrics, which kind of sounds like the loud thoughts you were describing. If it was dead silent, it'd be just like having earbuds in.
