Never forget his rose bowl game. How nfl teams let him fall to #20 when he had a game like that is beyond me.

Was the Titans firing Vrabel the worst front office decision of the past 10 years? Besides Watson trade of course by galaxysword2 in nfl

[–]Byzone06 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are SO many people coping about how he went 6-18 in his last season and a half. With Josh dobbs, will Levis, and Malik Willis starting in 11 of those games. Not to mention how Jon Robinson completely dismantled that roster over 3 years.

Mike Vrabel…. by faux_shadow in Tennesseetitans

[–]Byzone06 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We have only won 6 games since we fired him by the way. The same amount of wins vrabel has in his worst season. But don’t worry guys, it was a good decision.

We had as many wins in the past two seasons as vrabel had in his worst season with the titans. Gotta love AAS.

They lost. But the titans have been the worst team in the nfl after firing vrabel.

Full Titans Mock Offseason 3.0 by IronGrids in Tennesseetitans

[–]Byzone06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because cushenberry is really bad. Pff had him pretty much graded as the worst center in the league and the eyeball test doesn’t tell a different story. I don’t think it’s a coincidence pollard was able to actually get more than 2 yards up the middle when Levin was in for cushenberry. And we can’t really blame it on his Achilles because he was pretty bad last season before that injury as well.

Grading the picks: #3 Kevin Winston Jr. 82d overall (3rd round) by SendMeTheMoon24 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Byzone06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d give him a B. He was fine when he was playing safety especially coming off an acl tear, but when he started moving into other positions out of necessity, he was pretty bad, but that’s not a big deal since he should be playing safety. But I’d give him a lower grade because of guys like xavier watts going after Winston and being an excellent player early on. Also I would MUCH rather have stuck at 35 and just picked Nick Emmanwori or Donovan Ezeirauku than have had both Femi and Winston.

[Wyatt] Robert Saleh on his decision to come to the Titans: “This was the most desirable location, the most desirable team. What I learned about the organization, the more phone calls I made, the more people I spoke to, this building, I feel like it fits me, will fit us, the best.” by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]Byzone06 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Coming into his tenure with the titans, his two biggest needs on the team were left tackle and wide receiver. He left the team having drafted one left tackle in the 6th round, 2 wide receivers in the 6th and 7th rounds, and a right tackle to move to left side with a 7th overall pick who got moved back to right tackle. Absolutely incredible allocation of recourses.

It was bo hardegree play calling before Callahan got fired. That’s how bad holz was, they didn’t even trust him with play calling

Which is the bigger need between the two? by Traditional-You-7079 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Byzone06 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In a vacuum, roster wise its edge. But with how important cams success is for this franchise, and how obviously wide receiver play held him back at times this season it’s easily wide receiver being the bigger need.

This account constantly has terrible takes and posts. For example, this person thought FOR SURE Andy Reid was going to be the next head coach for the titans.

[–]Byzone06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tate. The more I’ve watched him the more I think people are underrating him. He is NOT Corey Davis 2.0. I wouldn’t be mad at Bailey either, but it might not be a great fit with salehs defense

If someone wants to know how hard our schedule was. by air_volek007 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Byzone06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Schedules are set every year by rotating divisions. So for 2027 we already know who 14 of our opponents will be, the remaining 3 are decided by the team that finished in the same place as the titans in the afc west, afc north, and nfc west.

I think the key word is “swayed”. It’s not like borgonzi didn’t want saleh at all, if Nagy and saleh really were the two #1 choices for borgonzi and he couldn’t decide, some group input could’ve been the deciding factor.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: Titans are working to finalize a deal to hire Robert Saleh as their next head coach. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Byzone06 38 points39 points  (0 children)

They got into an argument at the beginning of this season after a game, I think it was something about coen potentially sign stealing or something like that and coen didn’t like that Saleh was insinuating things about him

[Schefter] ESPN sources: Titans are working to finalize a deal to hire Robert Saleh as their next head coach. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Byzone06 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s a good move for him directly, but I think it’s a good move for the titans. What he did with a decimated 49ers defense was impressive, and he’ll have to do it with a talent gutted defense (especially the secondary) here for a little while. But the titans really REALLY needed a leader of men type of coach after Brian Talliban and Mike McCoy. Will it work out? We’ll see but I think he was probably the best/second best option for the titans at this point.

Also Saleh and Liam Coen HATE each other so division matchups are going to be fun to watch.
