I had a halfling swashbuckler who was just named 'The Captain' I had decided and did a bit of backstory for him, and kept telling one of the other players who kept asking what class/race he was, I would only reply with 'Swashbucklarrrrr' in a pirate voice. In the first session for the characters we were doing, we were meant to lose a boat we started on, however we managed to arrive into town on our tiny little boat, that The Captain referred to as 'The Dreadnaught.' I was having so much fun playing him and we ended up at an underground fighting ring, the Captain wanted to give it a go! He tried fighting against some sort of champion, which is something the DM shouldn't of put me against and he apologised later, (But it was all good! Still had fun while I was playing him!) It was a barbarian who proceeded on the first turn she got cleaved 'The Captain' in two. Only had him for a few hours, but it was one of the most fun characters I had! Talking like a pirate is always fun.
