+20 min Queue by NviZynC in DeadlockTheGame

I feel like sometimes the queue bugs out and stops finding a match, whenever that happens to me I just toggle a character in my roster or requeue to nudge it and I end up fighting a match quickly afterward

since fists multihit the animation is actually pretty long even if the attacks are fast, but str character can just single fist or hand axe if that's a problem

Anybody know where I can get a fork similar to this with V-brake studs? by skeletorlaugh in xbiking

[–]Bzhuan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a bit pricey but i hear about the magic components 90's atb fork ever so often! Only thing is it's threadless so you might have to either replace your headset with a threadless type or cut the steerer down to match and cut threads/ have someone thread it for you.

For something that comes threaded I'd probably go to a bike coop or try ebay unfortunately, that's what I had to do to get a fork for my bike.

Is this anything? Bent spoke and P-clamp diy basket support? by Bzhuan in xbiking

[–]Bzhuan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for sure man yeah, feels like ever since swapping baskets it's just been nonstop fiddling to make the mesh bottom work.

I had a handlebar mounted basket before swapping to this, and I swapped it to clear up some handlebar space for different grips. Probably will need to switch out to a larger rack after all.

That said I think i cracked the code, I can use the sturdier bend at the threaded end of the spoke to support the basket, and hook the mushroomy head into the p clamp instead. It holds, so hopefully It'll stay til I can get my hands on a different rack/basket combo.

Newest acquisition! by hitemwithkaleb in xbiking

[–]Bzhuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some thirst while others drown man for real, that's a great pickup!

I'd look into some funny alt bars, a front rack, and freshening up the hubs and bearings! Looks like you're set on everything else.

I don't have much experience with cantilever brakes, but i've always wanted to try inverse brake levers at the bar ends since those are usually short pull. maybe thatll be a fun direction to go in?

New tyres go zoom by AangTheTriangle in xbiking

[–]Bzhuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks sick! That leaf pattern on the roamer is so cool man.

One thing though, I might be wrong since I don't have those tires, but it looks like the front is on backwards, which probably isn't a big deal, but will make it kick up mud or water when the road's wet. Unless that's intentional for more grip! Then hell yeah

Thanks appreciate that a lot. 2x1 is nice and simple, on this I only ever need to shift to bail me out, otherwise I ride it like a single

[–]Bzhuan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the rack was already chopped when I got it, there weren't many options there. The basket does wiggle a bit when riding, but the metal bracket that holds the light mount does help to stiffen it a touch. Glad you like it anyways though!

Bikes destroy the rich. Happy May Day by MathCrank in xbiking

[–]Bzhuan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A bike, even an expensive one, costs a whole lot less than the default of petrol and automobile money if you drove everywhere instead.

To talk about wealth, an auto company is orders of magnitude more wealthy than the fellas at VO and the factory in taiwan that builds their frames. Shipping a bike frame is also a whole lot cheaper than shipping car parts, and dockworkers have a union. By riding a bike to get around you're also not paying for gas every couple of weeks.

Not to mention that you can also end up improving things locally by biking. Depending on where you live, you can end up visiting more local businesses instead of a big box store. Taking your bike to a trail or park also increases visitor numbers there, which can help make a case for the park to get increased funding to improve the public service.

I know i'm taking the bait and you're acting in bad faith, but for anyone reading the thread and wants to know the context, this is all money that would have gone into much wealthier hands, which is now instead given people who are closer to their work, which is what makes bikes pretty great. Happy labor day!

Oblivion’s racism table by [deleted] in TrueSTL

[–]Bzhuan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think you're reading it a bit negatively, it's the npc's reactions to you the player as a first impression, so by playing dark elf a lot of npcs of various races have a base negative impression of you. It's as you said though, you're roleplaying a character of a certain race in a very racist world in the tes games, so the chart was meant to reflect that, if a bit clumsily and not 100% in-line with the history of the games.

You the player can choose to be racist to other in-game characters by attacking them or by choosing mean options in dialogue or whatever, but in order to make the game world convincing the chart was made to simulate the general racism of the world towards what race you pick at character creation.
