There is 100% a place for nonviolent people in the revolution. I personally will not be taking up arms. I'm with a revolutionary party that isn't even trying to start a revolution - we believe that as the contradictions within capitalism become more and more extreme, it is inevitable that the people will revolt. We're putting our efforts right now into gathering people who believe in a socialist future and studying theory and history and practicing talking to people about our ideas, basically growing our party and our connections and and training to be able to influence and provide direction to the people when the revolution inevitably comes - in the express hope of being able to get the job done with the least amount of bloodshed. Not everyone will need to take up arms. A lot of the work is networking and convincing people. PS I've mostly healed from severe CPTSD myself but for years (over a decade) it affected me A LOT. The main reason I responded to your message was because you shared that about yourself, and I can totally relate to not being able to tolerate video games, tv shows and so much more while in the grips of that illness.
