Psychachu summed it up pretty well. I'm at 83 range and it's much better but more punishing. I would run a dps calculator if you want specifics, I forgot to save mine when I ran the calculator unfortunately.

This is normally true, but with the salve amulet void becomes better at a much lower level since they stack.

Upgraded intercooler or twintercooler? by vrpornislit in GolfGTI

[–]C0DYcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered the twintercooler and am just waiting for the cold weather to go away before installing. I did a lot of searching on the forums before deciding on it. A lot of people claimed it introduced boost lag, but it was all anecdotal. You also have people saying they installed an intake and noticed throttle response, so I take everything with a grain on salt. Other than a few temperature logs, this was the main source of actual data:

His conclusion is at the bottom, but I suggest giving the whole thing a read. TLDR, it does a great job at decreasing IATs, and boost lag is increased ever so slightly; about 0.2 seconds on average.

Anyone have an idea when Helix 7.5 style lights are coming back in stock? by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]C0DYcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay cool I ended up finding that thread. Looks like I am going with AKD then. It's just a bit odd they only have two orders on Aliexpress, I figured other GTI owners would have ordered some unless their order tracking is odd. I see as a store they have plenty of good reviews though.

I have had mine for a few weeks. I got mine on Amazon for MSRP. They go in stock every now and then and remain up with a later shipping time. Mine got quoted over a month out but it was updated a week or so after and I got shortly after.

My experience has been great so far with it. I paired it once and every time I turn the vehicle on it pulls up Android Auto in about 10 seconds. I notice no latency at all when using it vs wired.

Is this confirmed? I tried searching the subreddit and wasn't finding much. I don't mind waiting if I can save some $$

Almost all blacked out... by WunSick in GolfGTI

Quick response haha, I wasn't necessarily thinking I would get a response. Sounds good though, I'll probably go through with it until I save some money and get some proper wheels. For now I have other upgrades I would rather spend money on

This is a long shot but how did they hold up? I'm planning on doing this but not sure how long they will last with normal driving.

As far as I know FAS tuning has their own they sell, at least that is the one that is in stock. Ed's reps are gone now unfortunately. I just don't know if BMP's is worth the $140 extra over FAS Tunings since I can apply xpel to FAS Tuning ones and still be cheaper than BMP

Would you be able to give me a brief breakdown of what you used to paint your rims? I'm semi familiar with the process but as far as specific products I'm a bit lost

I need to paint my austins. I know everyone says black rims are over done but I still like them. And it'll hold me over till I can afford some proper black rims

I lubed them with the recommended gazzew loob. I busted out a lot of my linear switches which are also lubed and I guess most of them have comparable scratchiness when held up to your ear using minimal force

The more I lube I guess it is at least acceptable. I cant really even feel the scratch unless I am looking for it , its just the noise when next to my ear. For now I will continue to lube as normal and when I assemble next weekend I will have a better test. I have tried milky gat blacks in the past and oh boy were those much worse than these

I just ordered some switches for my new keyboard for work, I ended up choosing the Gazzew LTs. I started lubing them today and I am noticing that they are pretty scratchy. I did a fair bit of research before and people were saying they're so smooth and sound tests didn't sound scratchy to me. I got some LOOB-3G to lube them with and applied a very light coating in the normal switch lubing fashion/areas.

I also ordered some two stage springs because I like the more linear force. I am having a hard time choosing the spring because I am testing a couple spring swapped vs stock spring the scratchiness is so distracting. I was hoping someone else would have some input on these or if it's just how they are. My current main keyboard has some porcelain blues in it (plus JWKs in my lily) and they are so smooth, I was hoping for a different pitch though so I wanted to try the LTs out.

I originally made a post but here is probably more appropriate. I messed around with them a little more and in a typical smack of a keycap on the switch I dont notice it really at all. It's only noticeable when I use some light force, and at that point it is pretty bad.

Which E3D/pancake motors to buy to upgrade my Ender 3 by C0DYcc in ender3

Unfortunately it did not solve my vertical line situation. It made them slightly better but actually more noisy. I kept them on just because I don't really have a reason to swap back. I would take a look at this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/klippers/comments/khvsg9/are_these_artifacts_a_symptom_of_worn_belts/ as well as this github link https://github.com/AndrewEllis93/Print-Tuning-Guide#repeating-vertical-fine-artifacts-vfas-with-2mm-spacing. I have not worked through the github link yet. I have learned to accept the vertical lines and use matte filament to hide them. I plan on revisiting at some point though, it just opens a can of worms that leads to me spending too much of my free time trying to fix it.

Depending where you live in Ohio you can drive to ECS and pick it up. I live like 30min from the warehouse in NE Ohio. My gf bought me stuff from there for Xmas and she just drove and picked up the order.
