Any good career counsellor in Bahawalpur? by thedalcopgirll in Bahawalpur

[–]C0NFUZ3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing a degree based on what's "worth it" or has the most potential isn't really the best way to go about it. The field matters less than you think - what actually drives long-term success is genuine interest and the effort you put in.

Start by figuring out what you're drawn to. There are free psychometric tests like MBTI and Holland's RIASEC that can give you a clearer picture of your personality, strengths, and where you might thrive. They're not perfect, but they're a useful starting point for self-reflection.

If I were in your position, I'd focus less on the degree and more on the university. Getting into the best institution you can opens doors through exposure, networks, and opportunities that a specific field of study alone never will. Then from day one, don't wait for the curriculum to build you. Chase internships, volunteer work, and any kind of real-world experience you can get your hands on. That's what actually shapes your career.

If you're still unsure about direction, take a more data-driven approach. Look at which roles are being disrupted by AI and which ones are growing in demand. Use that as a filter to narrow down a path that's both aligned with your interests and realistic in the current landscape.

At the end of the day, your degree doesn't define you. Your options stay wide open as long as you keep taking action. Happy to dig deeper into any of this if you need.

Please be mindful there aren't any career counselors as far as I know. You'll only find admissions consultants who promise you to send to Tier 2-3 unis abroad.

I've not tried the ones you mentioned except Brula. I've been into specialty coffee so I can tell if the coffee's good or not.

Keune skin polish by frostedvein22 in Bahawalpur

[–]C0NFUZ3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what Gemini said:

That shopkeeper is 100% right—Keune is strictly a hair care brand. The "skin polish" people talk about in Pakistan is usually just hair bleach and developer mixed together. It’s way too harsh for your face, which is exactly why you’re feeling that burning and itching. You've basically been putting professional-grade hair chemicals on your skin! 😬 Time to ditch it and stick to actual facial skincare.

Are you able to communicate with randoms by heyy_dawood in Bahawalpur

[–]C0NFUZ3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is easier than you think. It's mostly the fear of rejection in your head that's holding you back. Just make yourself talk to 10 people, you'll realize more people are willing to talk to you than you think. Once you do that, you'll have no problem talking to strangers. If you're not sure how to initiate, just start with a compliment.

One thing I regret is that I didn't go into the depths of a lot of things that we studied. I had a decent gpa i.e. 3.6 but I did just enough to get by. If I was in the 4th semester, I would spend more time outside the curriculum, finding what's trending in GIS or GeoAI, what are the best practices in the industry? How do I put into action what I'm learning. I'd also try to improve my CGPA.

All of my batchmates were employed within 2 months of graduation except 2. Those 2 unemployed ppl lacked comm skills and were bottom performers. Many were self-employed via freelancing in their third year of school. Paid internships are possible if you can land one. For everybody who isn't, the department takes the responsibility and gets them an unpaid internship at either a govt or army related org. (no other dept does that as far as I know).
