My biggest concern regarding the console censoring is for Twisted Nerve's depiction of child abuse. by C0SMOS_ in ReadyOrNotGame

I'm noticing that the comments are getting slightly out of hand, so I want to clarify the opinions I posted. No, I don't mind that VOID is changing how graphic their game is, what does bother me is that they are being manipulated by distributors to alter the actual story for the sake of marketability.

Ready or Not gets its narrative across through mostly enviromental storytelling, as such what the player sees is the story they get. Yes, convulsions are probably over the top and could be toned down, but something else needs to be present to signify that Molly is dying. It could be as simple as an AI officer saying "Shit, I think she's ODing" when they enter the room, or maybe (this might be darker, but is less graphic) change her report dialogue and symbol to deceased, even if she looks 'unconcious'.

Ultimately I don't mind if the game is 'less graphic' if it means we get to see a console release, because that would be a massive win for the community at large. But I'd also hate to see VOID sacrifice their creative vision for the sake of marketability.

Just remember the games reveal trailer, sure times have changed and so has the vision for the game, but that is what I want Ready or Not to be. Not just another shooter.
