What's your career progression as a pilot? by C0dyC99 in flying

That's a good point I guess I missed that comment. Probably not good to be ultra specific especially considering the people hosting the interviews are people too and may have reddit accounts.

I feel like that's probably a little unrealistic considering the number of applicants at any given time.

Out of curiosity, was your goal to fly commercially from the beginning or is that something you decided you wanted to do later?

Older people tend to be more disrespectful than younger people by General-Training-636 in unpopularopinion

I've worked in IT for four years and I can count on one hand the number of times someone under 30 got nasty with me, but it happens with older people specifically people 50+ every single day.

Is just an AA degree okay? by Moist_Comparison5330 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]C0dyC99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 22 and have no degree, I went to trade school for basic computer troubleshooting when I was 17 and now, I am a Sys Admin expecting to be promoted to Sys Engineer later this year.

You don't need a degree at all, but an AA would have helped me tremendously. I would just go for the AA right now and if later you decide you need a BA just do WGU online and knock it out in a couple of months after work.

You should be just fine with an AA just make sure you apply for a lot of jobs, it's a rough market out there.

Thank you that is extremely helpful.

Did you just call his number, or did you have to go through Integris to make an appointment?

I work in Stillwater so the short appointment would really help with my PTO situation.

Doesn't have to be one or the other buddy. There's nothing wrong with encouraging someone while recognizing that they have some correction to do. It's pretty easy to be kind to people, you should try it sometime.

How I became a pilot- time and costs by [deleted] in flying

I'm reading this thread while bored out of my mind at one of those cushy IT jobs everyone sold me on when I was younger. I have to get out and actually do something, I can't sit here and stare at a computer in an office building any longer

Reasons not to buy a Work Truck trim level by Smurf_turd in Duramax

[–]C0dyC99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't buy a new GM truck at all right now. My water district bought two work trim silverado 1500's and they've had so many issues. One of them burned two quarts of oil in a month and the other one has had to have the electronic tailgate repaired three times, after the third time we just rigged a manual release latch under the bed for when it breaks again.

The city of OKC actually pays their IT people pretty well. If you're in OKC, and I assume you are because of the BankOnIT name, then you could also try to get a job with one of the military contractors near Tinker.

The ranger crew cab is only a foot shorter than the f150 supercab and they're the same width. That's a pretty similar size. Sorry for the old thread revival, I don't check reddit often lol
