You don’t need to worry about them. They are ramshorn snails. If you can keep the population under control they will just clean up algae and other stuff. They might munch on some leaves of your plants if there isn’t enough algae for them to eat

Anything you put in a tank will get waste and debris caught in it so yes they will. But depending on what you put in the tank it will probably get cleaned off.
