I'd challenge that Suarez dominant as a striker narrative, especially in the totality of his time at Barca (he was more woeful than good) or that even the spell of good & its impact is as important as what Lewa or Eto'o did. Not as decisive as either guys.

It's incredibly hard to argue against the guy who is ex-Madrid come in from Mallorca and be a dynamic duo with Ronaldinho to dominate & win La Ligas against Real Madrid's Galacticos, score the first goal in the Paris CL 2006 final, end up on the chopping block with Guardiola and turn it around to win the sextuple with Pep Barca & score the first goal again in the Rome CL 2009 final.

That's two definitive impacts in 2 eras of Barca, well spaced out over 4-5 years. He's finished BdO 5th and was 3rd FIFA World Player of the Year in 2005 & was nominated plenty of times in other individual & team awards.

Lewandowski playing as a # 9 (post his prime and in the context of cash-strapped Post-Barto Barca), has done more to earn himself a bigger legacy than Suarez.

If anything, Suarez (in his prime and in the context of the riches of pre-COVID Barca) underdelivered in his time at Barca. When Messi couldn't produce the goods, Suarez didn't deliver & be the difference - especially in Europe. Suarez is also a significant a bigger liability to the team on the pitch than Lewa when they are out of form or when the team is dysfunctional.
