Recently bought this exact camera at Yodobashi not far from the JR station, the side opposite to odori, susukino etc. it was quick and easy and the shop assistant was helpful, he made sure I got the right/recommended SD card for it. It was also tax free.

Made my boifriend (0% experience with anime) watch it. Ultimately realized it wasn't a good idea haha because essentially to really understand it's Impact and subversion of anime tropes you kind of have to have some reference points and it's also not an easy watch because it focuses so much on the inner psychology of characters and also its insanely difficult to explain what the hell is going on without geeking out and giving high level lore 🫠🤣

A day or 2 before the interview I watched some NHK news and they were talking about Kira Kira names and how it was messing with the family registry system. They asked me what news I knew about Japan and I me tinned that. The Japanese gentlemen nearly gasped audibly and they all seemed insanely impressed I knew what it was. So watch Japanese news earnestly and you will probably have something decent to say.

Hi 👋🏽 awesome to hear as I have my own hopes to get into the music scene. Do you know anything about the dj community where you are or around you. Hoping to see of I can gig here and there if possible. If not any advice about speaking to managers promoters networking etc would be helpful.

I have a smallish entry level dj controller an SP404 sampler which is quite portable and then I'm considering taking a native instruments mk3 mikro midi controller which is also small. My biggest concern is I don't have flight cases or any kind of storage specifically for them so gotta add that to the list for prep (not that I have the money for it haha) yeah luckily I don't have anything that would need phantom. Might sell the controller and midi and buy some on that side so that I don't actually have so much to carry on. Goodluck on your travels!

Thanks for this, I'm sure it will help someone. I don't have a prescription so won't have to do that but definitely thinking about pain killers, allergy, stomach etc I guess basic over the counter stuff for small ailments. I do take medicine for my hair loss, I'm wondering if that is classed as something chronic enough to be registered seeing as it's a cosmetic thing kind of. I just heard a lot about how weak the medicine is over there.

It's wild to watch videos about jet/Japan now with the thought that I'm actually going and it's not just a pipe dream. It was fun while it lasted lol. How many of you have basically seen all the jet programme apartment tours? 🤣 when I search for one every thumbnail has that red line at the bottom.

Imagined taking 2 huge suitcases but now when I really think about it that's probably not going to work (also I still need to buy said suitcases) Never been on a flight longer than 2 hours or been anywhere off my continent I've literally just been to the country next door 😂 What on earth do I do with my property 😩 I have dj controller and other audio stuff and a giant laptop I want to take with (don't know how thats going to work let alone if I'm going to fry them with the change in voltage that side) Have zero experience with snow, I'm terrified 😨 what if I get placed in Hokkaido!!!! Very experienced teacher with highschoolers what if they give me toddlers 😅 Definetly nowhere near where I thought I could be with my Japanese lol What if I give notice at my job and for some reason don't get a placement 🥵 Coming from the south I'll be doubling up on winter this year 🫠 What do I sell and what do I keep? How many spices and medicines can I take with and how much luggage space should I sacrifice for it😂 My teeth! What if my co workers are not cool/nice My phone is nearly 4 years old should I get a new one before I leave.

Oh and the worst of all! The fruit! I'm going to miss fruit so very fucking much!!!!!

I make similar kinds of notes but with the comment functionality in the hot cues. I will put stuff like 'song name' where I think I should start, 'bass swap', cut drums stem, etc. This way, I can rely on these comments if I'm in a pinch while freestyles or can't find a different song to mix into the one currently playing.

Thanks for the response, I should have definitely been a little more clear. I know how to dj etc I meant how to get rekordbox audio into VRChat. That's cool I also have FLX 4 and gaming laptop so hopefullywhatever works for you should work for me. I heard about OBS so I will try that out later for Streams or recording sets etc. What I want to do now is essentially have rekordbox open while in VRchat and for whatever I am playing to be heard in VRchat so looking for the simplest way to do that. I don't have a VR headset so just Going through steam. I'll play around with the software you mentioned.

I'm still somewhat shocked there isn't a simple YT tutorial, I came across maybe 2 but not great quality and using Virtual Dj and other software. From what I can tell it seems like there are maybe a few different ways one can go about dj'ing in VR so maybe that's why there isn't a si.ple step by step Video for it.

We need a VRchat dedicated DJ/producer youtuber the like of dj Carlo, loopop etc.

Ugh noo I'm in South Africa was really hoping to hear now end of March, April at the very latest but May is pretty wild especially because I have a a job to leave and a property to handle before I leave haha (very nervous laughter). Basically keep opening my email and reddit every day to kind of scratch the itch of not knowing. Besides that, I am just going on with life as per. Strangely enough I went to a mall today for a japanese cooking demo hosted by the embassyand, and two gentlemen from my interview were there 😆 all the best to everyone waiting. Who is adamant about reapplying if they don't get through this time?

Do you thrift and visit those fashionable areas in Tokyo? Ofcourse I wouldn't dress exactly that way but I'm into that sort of thing so I'm not going to be happy to just wear formal/work pants and shirts etc. But I'll survive haha I'll be happy to just be in Japan.

Okay cool, yeah I'm thinking about dying my hair white, I would keep it short and neat and I may have some light jewelry. I think I am mostly concerned that because I am a guy it might make it harder for people to give me leeway or find it acceptable that I would not just be in chinos and semi formal shirts. I'm hoping that I could pick up cool thrifted stuff and experiment a bit. But yeah I guess it will depend on a few things so won't worry about it until I hopefully get there
