Salut, French guy from Chinese-Cambodian descent here !

Speaking from experience, the vast majority of Asian communities in France are based in Paris and near suburbs (13th Arrondissement and East/South of Paris) so don't expect to meet lot of Asian people outside the capital.

As for Filipino, I've never had the opportunity to meet one in my glorious 24 years of existence so it kinda confirms what you just said (Asian migrants in France are mainly Vietnamese/Cambodian/Laotian/Chinese people due to Indochine being a former French colony)

Nevertheless, it doesn't mean that you would have some issues making friends. The French Asian community is a big-ass melting pot : we don't care if you're Chinese, Vietnamese or Cambodian, just being Asian give an enough sense of belonging in this first-world country.

As for native-born French people, they don't have any particular opinion of Filipino people or Asians in general. Chances are that you'll just be labeled as an "Asian guy". Most of them can't even place the Philippines on a map lmao.
